When I first started wearing makeup the look was very natural for girls. Light brown, beige or blue or green eyeshadow.
No lipstick.
Then when I was a young woman deep colors like navy blue and black became popular looks at night clubs and discos.
For work it was still brown but no blue or green, they had been replaced by gray.
There has been an evolution of makeup styles and right now the full face full glam look is very very in.
Your niece and her friends are probably learning from YouTube.
I still learn things from these artists.
And for what's it's work I can still rock the ivory girl look with no problem and most days that is my go to anyway.

I don't wear make up any more other than for weddings and funerals- and thankfully those are few and far between. I met the hubs for the first time without make up so there were no surprises. After rarely wearing it for the past several years it just feels weird and makes me feel yucky, though I can remember the days when the opposite was true.

When I was younger, before I learned to accept and love myself flaws and all, make up made me feel better about myself. I felt like I looked more attractive and it made me feel more confident. Putting on my daily make up felt almost like putting on armor that protected me from those who could sometimes be very unkind. When you are young the majority of your peers can be extremely judgemental and cruel at times, picking out your flaws and running with them- women more so than men. That is why you frequently hear that women don't dress up and get made up for men nearly as much as they do for other women!

So please try not to think too harshly of those who go a bit overboard with the make up. They are just trying to feel better about themselves because they have not yet discovered how to truly love and accept themselves just as they are!

I think makeup has a scarier agenda and it has to do with trans acceptance and money.

That is a very real spin. This video jokes about it, but it's really not a joke.

Yeah I agree! Imagine trying to find a girlfriend in a time when women take makeup tips from men who want to be women. So they teach these women a style that makes it easier for trans to blend in.

Yes, take a look at this. Kim K, yes there is some age between the two photos.
She is wearing makeup in both, but in one she looks a lot, and I mean a lot more masculine, almost trans like.
Exactly what you are saying!!

Ok now that you have this concept let me take it a step further! Porn yes I said that correctly porn- I used to watch it and to be honest over the years they are started to look less feminine! And no I didn’t go to the wrong sites or type of porn!

Smaller hips more broad shoulders, more toned and built arms. I’m not saying these women are not women just that they are not selecting really feminine features on these stars anymore or they are highlighting the masculine features on them- it’s extremely off putting to say the lest. To someone that is just growing up and looking at this stuff they are bluring the line with the makeup and the features on the pornstars.

ok... So that just brought back a vision that I haven't seen since I was young enough to be barely able to make memories! Though, you would have to reverse the taper from top down to bottom up.

crazy!

Yeah father of a couple of teenage girls here...next to this K-pop, K-drama and K-movie stuff (K stand for Korea...BTS...ahhhh...somg) you should see the booming market of makeup from that corner of the world.

It's insane...

Peace

HOLY CRAP! I've never heard of K-Pop until I JUST read your post. At the exact moment I read it, I saw an email pop up on my other screen from something called "Wish" and it was an ad for K-Pop!

Bet you heard of snap crackle and pop. lol

Yeah man, there are all sorts now.

J-Pop
K-Pop
V-Pop
C-Pop
Soda-Pop

Ok.. So the last one was a poke of fun. The others, however, are real.

Now enjoy a lil J-Pop/Metal

The men that say they like "natural" wouldn't know natural if it hit them in the face. They are most likely responding to caked on overly made up fakeness. All the men I have ever known stated they liked natural but were always attracted to well groomed and made up women. And, after you were married or a couple, tried to get their "woman" to wear less makeup. Why? So, she would not appear attractive to other men. Simple. That's fake.

Nah, I know natural.

When I say "natural" I mean you look like you... flaws and all. Nothing wrong with a little eye shadow, lip stick, powder, etc. However, we like women who still look like themselves. Not overly fussy and done up.

Without flaws... there'd be nothing to love.

My husband gave up on the younger generation of porn. He is enthusiastic about maturer lady porn. Says they don't seem so fake and he can focus on the business at hand rather then screaming at the screen.

Though, I have given him a hand more often recently, even those seem to be showing more of the man than normal and it can leave him at a loss.

Me, I am clueless, watching others does nothing for me. I must admit I don't mind hubby watching woman older than me. I can see they do seem genuinely more enthusiastic than the normal porn stars. They don't look artificial. Eh, it is what it is.

To stay on topic...most porn stars wear too much makeup too and yet, it doesn't seem to ever get smeared on their face nor all over the bed sheets. How is that reality?

Nothing like 70s porn...

And I say that because they actually 'acted' like it was enjoyable for all parties - wasn't as one sided and fake looking.

ok.. 80s porn was just as good. It fell off early to mid way lol

I know I really shouldn’t be talking about this on here but you should nix the porn watching by your husband. It messes up people’s minds and programs in watching sex as pleasurable instead of having sex. The raise of cuck porn where mental pain is turned into pleasure should explain the concept a bit. Back in the day they called these people swingers but these new people take it a step beyond that letting their wife have a open side fling while they are forced to watch and be Degraded as a lesser man. Eventually they turn into a kind of pet for the women and they can only find sexual gratification through Degradation.

Most people will tell you that’s a lie because they haven’t regressed to that point yet but it’s true. Tell your husband to lower porn intake and you need to increase the sexlife life of the marriage instead of once a week 2/3 times if you do it 2/3 times bump it to 4/5 times a week. Mix in some kinky stuff not granny porn. You don’t want to find him one day with rose at the retirement home getting down.

My husband is fond of the burgundy/wine shadows on me. I was kinda surprised, but he said it makes my eyes pop😊

Like you, I rock my face paint nearly every day——- and I’m a stay at home parent, so it’s not to “deceive” anyone, least of all my husband.

Think that's bad, you should look up some of the body modifications some are willing to go through in the east.

I wonder if that stuff causes more wrinkles then it prevents.

It's the SAME THING. Why do you want likes? You are trolling for mates. Nothing has changed.

Yeah. Fundamentally, we are biological creatures, and we spend a lot of time and effort trying to select the best mates available. And because of the sex role differences, the most sought-after men are those who are not necessarily the most good-looking, but rather the best provider or who stands out, like in a rock band. If you're a dude and want women, join a band. And if you don't do that, at the very least make a lot of money. Simple.

You still see this today is personal ads. Read them some time. Men advertise for "good looking, height/weight proportionate" women. Women advertise for "financially secure" males. To women "being pretty" is not as important as being "financially secure." Men want the trophy wife; women want the meal ticket. It's all about the selfish gene.

Of course, there are variations and exceptions to this with gay people and so on but this is the way things generally work 90 percent of the time.

Gay people do not perpetuate the species. They can only be tolerated if the population is large enough to make up the difference of their non-participation.

Bow chicka wow wow...

We used to watch porn when we were kids. My buddy's grandpa had a few Ron Jeremy tapes that we would watch and chuckle at. I specifically remember the one on a pirate ship, those chicks were all smoking hot.

ETA: We'd sneak them out and watch them. The grandpa didn't watch with us. Gotta throw that out there.

When I first got with my wife I told her I didn't want her wearing makeup unless it was required for a job or something like that. All she said was "Thank goodness, I hate wearing makeup". It seems that most women can't even put it on right, so it looks terrible... not as bad as my oldest sister who is still stuck in the 80s with her turquoise eyeliner. Also it smells, I freakin hate the way makeup smells, like moldy farts or something, as if farts could get moldy.

I tend to think that gayness, like pretty much any other genetic variation, also helps the species survive. If there should happen to be a virus that quickly slams and kills heterosexuals specifically, then a gay person could avoid that and still be around to kickstart the human race. After all, a gay man and woman can still breed -- if absolutely necessary.

Otherwise, a certain percentage of gay people in the population frees up a lot or resources that can be used by breeding families, which tend to use up resources like crazy. Instead of driving those huge SUVs to school and soccer practice, gay folks will be driving their much more efficient Mazda MX-5s and Subaru Foresters. And there are more than a few nieces and nephews who have benefited from their rich (because they didn't have kids) gay uncle or aunt's will. Among other things.

Nature loves its safeguards. It likes to keep all of its bases covered, just in case.
