Anyone else tired of people pretending “the American people elected trump”, completely ignoring the fact the majority did not want him...and the majority by 3 million votes..

No one can take the win away from him, but you trumpettes so none of those statements that pretend the American people wanted are even remotely accurate.. trump supporters do not get to pretend the average American wanted him or supports him, because the average American hates his guts, and his supporters are not the average Americans..

Trump supporters are the minority... and the minority by a fair amount..

Well that’s just like, your opinion man.
Electoral college and all that means nothing?

I’m guessing you’re unhappy with the US of A’s democratic process?
I’m not even American, but God was I happy when he took the seat..

Only because the topic keeps coming up 3 years later. In fact, im kinda tired of hearing that we should eliminate the electoral college too.

How long has this electoral system been in use? Has it ever been an issue before?

Is it suddenly a problem because some sore losers lost?

Seriously, I'm asking as I live in the UK and nobody cares what we vote for, they crap on us anyway.

Looking at the OP’s stats, and knowing ATS, and the timing of this question.... I’m left to wonder.. Is SteveCrowley06 a troll?

Wow, somebody got triggered. So, you'd be fine with only california and new york electing our President? You do away with the Electoral college that's basically what its going to come down to.

In my opinion the electoral college should go clear down to the county level. There a little over 3000 counties nation wide. By going clear down to the county level you would eliminate the advantage of large city from caring a state.

Is anyone tired of guessing which sock puppet the nonsense posts come from?

I am.

Which previously rejected moniker did you use?

A bit of advice. When you roll in and start posting epic butthurt we pretty much all assume you were here before and got butthurt to such epic levels that you got banhammered.

3 million votes in a country of 330 million is a less than 1% difference.

Have you ever seen the map of how the county’s across America voted for trump? www.nytimes.com...
Looks like a lot of red land to me so yes I’d say America elected Trump, but I will concede that only 49.3% of Americans elected him.

Trump is a smart guy, he campaigned to win the electoral college. And he was successful. The popular vote means nothing. His opponent could have done the same, but she miscalculated and so all she won was a nice hotel suite full of broken glass.

I hope that he is as successful next time. It’s good for him, it’s good for me, and it’s good for the country.

Many of us on ATS voted for Trump, including myself. MAGA!

Funny I was driven coast to coast in 2016 all I saw every where
I went were Trump banners. That's how I knew he was gonna win
and that's how I knew there was no collusion.

I also know there are a lot of spoiled brats in America that don't know
how lucky they are. Or how close we came or even how close we are
right now. Trump won even against all the crooked cheating Hillary
was doing. She thought it was in the bag.

Trump won and you should be glad he did.

Is this what happens when you can't just "let it go"?

He won. He is president. You don't have to like it, but at some point, you will have to accept it. therapy.

So what your saying is that the majority of Americans wanted Hillary Clinton over Trump whom would be tens times worse? look what is happening. Right now liberals don't have any bright or moderate candidates, warren, Biden, Barren are all socialist who probably might destroy America with their polices if elected.

Yes...

Obviously every Americans vote should count the same..

California is not a person.... so it doesn’t matter if they have more people.. every state is within 60-40 right to left, no matter how red or blue the state..

This is OBVIOUSLY a case of people backing something they know is wrong, just because it benefits them personally..

Which is conservatism 101 really...

Slavery, segregation, push back against women’s sufferage, exc.. all knew they were horrible, but the conservatives defended them all anyway.

Conservatives always lose long term... because they are trying to conserve old ways of doing things that are now obsolete
