BEIJING (Reuters) - China will use "non-peaceful means" to stop Taiwan's secession from China only if all efforts for peaceful reunification prove futile, one of the country's top lawmakers said on Tuesday.

Beijing has claimed sovereignty over Taiwan since their split at the end of the Chinese civil war in 1949 and threatened to attack the self-ruled democratic island of 23 million if it formally declares statehood.

The mainland parliament is considering an anti-secession bill during its ongoing annual session that Taiwan fears could give Beijing the legal grounds to attack the island.

While the world focuses on Iraq, China was secretly putting this proposal together. China is the biggest threat to World Peace and has basically given itself the legal grounds for war. If war does break out, this world will cease as we know it. It will be nuclear non-the-less.
