I can see in the Republicans faces they are starting to see that this whole public hearing thing was a bad idea.

I think it is great
so far it is all secondhand rumors and difference of opinion
that and keeping a proxy war with russia alive

Of course you think it’s great. There isn’t anything anyone could say or any evidence that could be shown that would make you think Trump is anything but innocent.

I’d hope that would be apparent to everyone by now.

Innocent till proven guilty. So far all they have proved is some rumors that some people did something.

This isn’t a criminal trial. This is an impeachment hearing. You’re comparing apples to baseball.

ok then
the house dems should simply take the vote and be done with it
so that it can be recognized as the purely political act it is
dont be shy about it

but expect the same in the senate

Why?

Why should they take a vote before investigating? What kind of sense would that make?

The CNN legal people were saying yesterday that the public hearing is just a time-consuming show. Since Dem and Repub have already made up their mind, they should take the full House up/down impeachment vote ASAP. (Only a few in-session days left this year.)

What leads you to believe everyone has already made up their mind?

Taylor seems so unsure about everything he is saying. It is going to be a slaughter when the Republicans get a chance to question him. He is stumbling now, he will become a drooling idiot under pressure.

Why does Taylor’s policy decisions matter?
I didn’t elect him. I didn’t vote for him. He is an unelected bureaucrat...

Donald Trump is the president. Not these guys...

Seriously, why is the opinion of a bunch of unelected officials more important than the man I voted for to run this country...

This is ludicrous...an absolute travesty..and a colossal waste of time and money

CNN assumed that. Not me...

What do you mean undo an election?

so then what else is the point of the event today?

Nobody believe Trump is getting removed from office.

Clearly the house dems do, or we would not have the event today?

I believe whats being show is pretty obvious extortion that the average US citizen can understand.

Different how than any other foreign aid or diplomacy is conducted?
You do what we want you get our aid.

A sitting president using US foreign aid money for he re-election campaign is HEINOUS. Its really that simple, and even many hard R folks can easily see the reverse situation like the next Democratic president just using all government money to bury their political opponents and get them locked up. Those kind of actions should be and are anathema to a free and fair republic.
Who used us foreign aid money in their election campaign?

I can’t wait for the Republicans to start their round of questions. It’ll be entertaining watching them asking about Biden and Burisma after the statements that have already been given.

Well the Juris Doctrine of the US is Innocent Until Proven Guilty Beyond All Reasonable Doubt.

C'mon! You know that isn't the standard for impeachment.

Sure!

The actual standard for impeachment is. . . .

Orange? Check.
Man? Check.
Bad? Check.

I think The Rock said it best when he said “Know your role.”

An Ambassador is to stand in place of the President when not present. They are to negotiate and advise the President, even give opinion, but they are by no means above the President in anything.

He definitely is choosing his words carefully. I’m shocked at how open borders people can talk about National sovereignty while promoting no sovereignty in their policies. So many must be paid off by Soros.

I am digging the dems strategy here of filibustering

over two hours and republicans got ten minutes.

Not enough to only have thier witnesses testify, but didnt even give republicans a chance to ask questions.

SO blackmailing countries form personal reasons has now become US policy? Good to know what a Biden Presidency would bring.

Kent says no evidence Ukraine interfered. thats a lie, they admitted in publiuc in the msm

He says Biden do nothing wrong.

He admitted previously, as did taylor, that withholding aid would damage Ukraine and embolden russia. they also said that getting involved in a prosecution in the ukraine is bad and highly unsual.

yet Biden and Obama did both, and Kent says it was perfectly fine.

He is a partisan hypocrite.

To do it properly, the Representatives would poll their constituents and vote accordingly. But that ship sank a very, very, very long time ago. At this point just voting party lines is a miracle anymore.
