I do not understand how accusations of bias, legitimate or not, are relevant to considering the evidence that has been uncovered as a result?
What evidence? It’s hearsay from someone who was not in the original phone call, someone with a political bias, someone who worked for a Potus who was in on the Russiagate witch-hunt involving the fisa Court, someone who worked with Biden and has at least a conflict of interest. A real whistleblower is someone like Snowden, who has real proof.

I believe you misunderstood my question.
The Whistle Blower complaint has been made irrelevant by superseding testimony of over a dozen others who have direct knowledge of the meetings, discussions, text exchanges etc.

So Schiff is correct. The WB's testimony is redundant and unnecessary. Impeachment being DoA at the front door of the US Senate is already a given.

Schiff is not right... You democrats/socialists keep on claiming that "the POTUS is not above the law" but it is you, and your left-wing leaders, whom think you are all above the law...

The socialists/democrats have made a mockery of U.S. law, and due process... Schiff wants to stop Republicans from cross-examining the so called "whistleblower", which should be evidence that Shiff, Pelosi et al fear the truth which should be evident if any of you have any honesty left in you...

I wonder if anyone on the left will ever be honest with themselves that if Barack Obama has the same phone call it wouldn’t even be a non issue it wouldn’t even be reported as possible bad we all know it’s true

Lindsey graham and mitch mcconnell HAVE to hold a hearing. They also need to have the vote. IF they're trying not to, that's a bad strategy. The republican senate needs to take this up as quickly as possible and acquit. That will blunt any use of this as a campaign issue to get dems out voting for dem senators. If you think this is a #show now with dems only controlling the house, imagine if they won the senate.

Didn't you hear?

They have agreed to a full blown trail.... WEEKS possibly MONTHS of interviews and hearings...

Oh, and EVERY single sitting senator is not allowed to leave Washington during this time 😂🤣

President Clinton's trial in the Senate lasted one month.
The GOP were in the majority then and ran the trial.
Since the GOP and President in this circumstance are same party, I would expect them to fast-track it, but there is still some fundamentals they need to do for the process. I'd estimate 2-3 weeks.
Likely starting January after the Holiday as it looks like the House will wrap up before Christmas.
A conviction in the Senate would require 20 of the 53 GOP Senators to vote to convict, almost 40% of GOP, assuming all Democrats voted to convict.

President Clinton's trial in the senate:
Jan 7th: Presentation of Charges and Chief Justice swearing in participants.
Jan 8th: Rules of Procedure adopted
Briefs filed by the House and President Jan 11th-13th
Prosecution presented case Jan. 14th-16th
Defense presented Jan. 19th-21st
Questions from Senators to Prosecution and Defense Jan 22nd-23rd

Senator Byrd files motion for dismissal of charges Jan. 25th
Rep. Bryant files motion to call witnesses Jan. 26th
the Senate voted on both motions, both motions failed.
After closed door depositions and testimony, closing arguments Feb. 8th, Verdict Feb 9th.
Failure to indict.

* A motion to dismiss only requires a simple majority vote. With President Clinton's trial, the Senate was an opposing party and thus the motion to dismiss on Jan. 25th was denied.

In the case of President Trump it is reasonable to assume the Senate would, by majority vote, grant the Motion to dismiss and end the trial.

I would expect a fast-tracked Trial in a Majority/Same Party GOP Senate to last 2 weeks, 3 weeks at most.

A motion to dismiss will be entered right after Q&A from Senators and likely granted by majority vote unless there are 3 or more GOP defectors.

Man it's bizarre watching you guys ride the titanic to the ocean floor while insisting there never was an iceberg.

How the hell you can cling onto this level of cognitive dissonance despite trump's proven track record of lies, deceit, and self-serving manipulation is baffling.

Let alone what a completely weak, sensitive little cry baby he is. "Muh but all he gets is negative press" - tough luck snowflake. Should be too busy running a country instead of obsessing over Twitter and media coverage between rounds of golf.

Compete thin-skinned snowflake.

Hilarious.

I think Americans are best served by a Senate trial where the President's defenders have a public platform to challenge all the evidence and make their defense and Democrats can present their case and evidence.

Whatever the outcome, daylight will be helpful to all and the public can include their own vote accordingly a year from now, either backlash at what they believe to be false evidence and a "witch hunt" or frustration and condemnation for a GOP that failed to hold a corrupt President accountable. I suspect in these partisan times we will see a healthy does of both views at the ballot box next year no matter what the trial reveals, but for those that want more information they deserve it.

Uh Oh... Someone has blown the whistle on whistleblower Ciaramella!

ICIG complaint alleges Trump-Ukraine whistleblower may be soliciting illicit donations

EXCLUSIVE: A newly filed complaint to the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) alleges that the whistleblower whose allegations touched off House Democrats' impeachment inquiry may have violated federal law by indirectly soliciting more than a quarter-million dollars from mostly anonymous sources via a GoFundMe page.

The complaint, which was filed last week and obtained by Fox News, alleged the donations from roughly 6,000 individuals "clearly constitute" gifts to a current intelligence official that may be restricted because of the employee's official position pursuant to 5 CFR 2635.203 and other statutes. To date, the GoFundMe has raised over $227,000.

What is even more bizarre is watching hordes of the public get manipulated and brainwashed by main stream media into believing everything you just said. Lies, deceit, and self-serving programming from your television and computer has made you to believe orange man lies, deceives, and is bad.

What you were brainwashed to think was weakness, is really his strength. He is pushing back on Twitter, and telling the truth, the media has been attacking him any way possible for the littlest dumbest things, and the result of those attacks is brainwashed people like you, and sadly its working. Others see right through the media's attacks.

If you can't see that most of the "bad" things you think of Trump were spoon fed to you by the media, then you need some time to self reflect.

The democrats know there is no chance for impeachment.

The goal was not to actually impeach him, that would just be a benefit. The goal was to brainwash millions of other democrats and hopefully republicans into believing orange man bad for as long as they can drag this on for. The real goal was to have a constant barrage of headlines and breaking news events that they can push in your face, and manipulate voters with.

Congressman Adam Schiff has already denied the Republican request for the "Whistleblower" to testify in front of The House Committee !!

We all saw the actual wording in that House Resolution that said The Majority could stop any Republican witnesses and sure enough, Schiff has struck first 😃

Schiff says the WB's "testimony" would be redundant and unnecessary without even knowing the questions !!

The longer this goes, the dumber the Democrats will look when it ends 😃

It's more like a WhistleHoax 😃

WHAT EVEN FUNNIER is that the Law they are using to hold these impeachment "hearings" is that Congress has the authority....CONGRESS HAS THE AUTHORITY......NOT THE MAJORITY of Congress.. the republicans could hold their own hearings if the dems can?

What ARE Democrats so afraid of anyway ? 😀

Schiff Dismisses Republican Calls for Trump Whistleblower to Testify: ‘Redundant and Unnecessary’

House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said the whistleblower’s testimony in the impeachment inquiry against President Trump is both “redundant and unnecessary” as the inquiry, according to Schiff, has gathered enough evidence.

Schiff wrote in a letter to Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the ranking member of the Intelligence committee, that testimony from the whistleblower isn’t relevant now.

“The impeachment inquiry, moreover, has gathered an ever-growing body of evidence—from witnesses and documents, including the President’s own words in his July 25 call record—that not only confirms, but far exceeds, the initial information in the whistleblower’s complaint,” Schiff wrote. “The whistleblower’s testimony is therefore redundant and unnecessary.”

Schiff then added that “the individual’s appearance before us would only place their personal safety at grave risk” after calls to unmask the anonymous person.

Wrong... During Clinton's impeachment the Republicans put an independent party in charge of the impeachment, with Kenn Starr as the leader of the independent party.

Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, was impeached by the House of Representatives on two charges, one of perjury and one of obstruction of justice, on December 19, 1998. Two other impeachment articles, a second perjury charge and a charge of abuse of power, failed in the House. He was acquitted by the Senate on February 12, 1999.

Independent Counsel Ken Starr alleged that Clinton had broken the law during his handling of the Lewinsky scandal and the Paula Jones lawsuit. Four charges were considered by the full House of Representatives; only two passed, and those on a nearly party-line vote. It was only the second time in history that the House had impeached the President of the United States, and only the third that the full House had considered such proceedings.
...

Impeachment of Bill Clinton

The republicans also put up to a vote, the entire House of representatives, whether to impeach or not. Democrats had subpoena powers, and were able to question/cross-examine all witnesses. Clinton's counsel was even allowed in the closed proceedings since... "he was the POTUS'(Clinton) counsel..."

The socialists/democrats didn't put a vote on whether to start, or not to start the impeachment... The times they did tried it, every time a majority, including many democrats, voted no to impeachment. Then the left-wing media ousted the names of all democrats whom several times voted against impeachment so that their mobs of zombie followers would administer threats at those democrats...

Schiff has told witnesses to not respond to questions made by Republicans, now Schiff has denied ALL WITNESSES THE REPUBLICANS called for... Schiff has not even allowed the POTUS' counsel to be present in the "intelligence impeachment sham..."

So you are wrong... Socialists/democrats don't want to allow due process, and innocent until proven guilty no longer exists under socialists/democrats.

Schiff, Pelosi, Biden, HIllary, Waters, AOC, et al, are a bunch of left-wing authoritarians whom are criminalizing political differences from socialism/what democrats "believe."

They are also attempting at stopping investigations of the real crimes socialists/democrats partook in during Obama's 2 terms, and to this day with their implanted loyalists...

Because POTUS Trump has fired many political hacks that Obama put in power, socialists/democrats want to claim now that "he is abusing his power..." No MORONS...that's within the power of the POTUS to fire and hire WHOMEVER HE WANTS... Obama did it...

Socialists/democrats are simply fishing for ANYTHING they can use to try to impeach the POTUS. Every time nothing was found.

Ironic that they want to deny the POTUS from starting an investigation into the corruption of the former Ukrainian authorities, and the Obama administration officials whom wrote dirt on Trump and colluded to affect our elections in 2016 in favor of Hillary...

It is even more ironic since socialists/democrats used RUSSIAN and Ukrainian LIES to investigate EVERYTHING, AND EVERYONE involved with Trump when he was a Presidential candidate...

To this day the same RUSSIAN and Ukrainian lies are being used to try to go after the POTUS, meanwhile socialist/democrats continue to obstruct justice because they are all complicit with the real collusion/corruption.
