Here is the stable genius that pre confessed to a felony.

That was fantastic. The GOP can use that as a recruiting video for the 2020 elections. It's already gone viral, free campaign material!!

Bonespurs can pardon him....it's all good!!

Oh GTFO. Aside from the holier than thou freedom of speech virtue signaling opportunity, there is ZERO comparison between beating someone saying things you dont like with a bicycle lock and slashing a balloon with a knife. Hell, I reference the 1980's Tim Burton Batman movie for moral superiority of my argument... Batman was not charged with any crime after stealing and destroying Joker's half dozen large Smilex parade balloons.

Boston Tea Party
[ˈbôstən, ˈbästən tē ˈpärdē]

DEFINITION
a violent demonstration in 1773 by American colonists before the American Revolution. Colonists boarded vessels in Boston harbor and threw the cargoes of tea into the water in protest at the imposition of a tax on tea by the British Parliament, in which the colonists had no representation.

Versus

Popping someone's balloon.

I feel that the only way to stay consistent in my criticism over people who knock down statues, burn books, burn MAGA hats, is to be honest in my criticism of the balloon popper.

Yeah you’re the fourth or fifth person it’s mentioned that .

Jaywalking is a criminal act so what’s your point ?

The point is when you commit a criminal act you will face the repercussion.
Jaywalking gets you a fine.
Vandalism gets you arrested and a bill for restitution.

I hope you attempt at a political statement was worth the financial costs.

Is Go Fund Me - - really going to allow this?

It was a criminal act. With a weapon.

The things some people do make me wonder.

He pre confesses and posts it on facebook. He runs up with a knife and slashes the ballon.

And... this is the one that really makes me wonder.

He ran away. The news is calling his driver the getaway driver the video implicates whoever it is with prior knowledge of a felony.

DCCowboy for the win :-)

And now I believe in the multiverse for reals - because where the hell am I right now?

What this guy did was no small thing. DC sees it - and this thread is putting me over the top as far as how much I love this thread and this new flavor of arguing

there is ZERO comparison between beating someone saying things you dont like with a bicycle lock and slashing a balloon with a knife.

How is that even relevant to this particular discussion?

I mean, depending on the state, so is abortion.

In all seriousness though, what if it was a steak knife?

I'm now waiting for the personal information that's gonna come forth from those digging into Hoyt's past and online history.

Let's see how much of a "good old boy" - "Patriot" he really is.

So throwing what was then close to $1 million in tea into the harbor doesn’t compare to popping a balloon ?

I admire you for your positions most of the time.

But this one’s seems to be your need to be righteous not honest .

I think at the end of the day some of us can agree with the sentiment, but still think it was handled the wrong way, and some of us will contend that this is the same as assaulting people.

I don't believe a Group of Americans protesting against a foreign governments control is the same as damaging an Americans personal property in an attempt to make a partisan political statement.

The tea was someone's property, wasn't it?
