Do we get to play pin the tail on any Nazi we catch out?

I too subscribe to "entertaining an idea without accepting it," and do enjoy talking along those lines. Hypotheticals can be explored less perilously. So, I get ya.
We all do believe things though. Take your birthday- you have the testimony of parents and relatives, birth certificates and hospital records but all of those are second hand. You have to believe they're all true. Is it possible they are? Probably, but not certain.
There's also the realm of known knowns, known unknowns, and unknown unknowns. We don't even know all that we don't know- but we know it's a fact we don't know all we don't know.
There's a million different ways to represent the same Axiom, "absolutes exist" and to say otherwise is to make an absolute statement. If you're not sure, then you're sure you're not sure.
Philosophical fun!

But as for my original post, I was trying to illustrate the absurdity of a group who claims that one race of people (white people) are responsible for the evils of the whole world, demand for a socialist state that oppresses free speech and the right of people to have self-defense and access the weapons for that purpose, have armed thugs Patrol the streets attacking and harassing people like they're brown shirts, insist that the planet be depopulated, and support a form of eugenics to eradicate above said evil race, calling members of the human race (the unborn) "not human" as a way to ease the conscience regarding their eradication (using science as Antiquated as phrenology for the Nazis, but in this case using Heckle's hand-drawn embryos, proven to be fraudulent by his own University almost immediately after their publication, ironically a German University, in the late 1800's).... these are the people accusing their opposition of being Nazis.
The only difference between the left-extreme and the Nazis, is instead of national-Eugenics-socialism, it's global. Which more or less, was the end game of the Nazis anyway.
Can you see the absurdity that I'm seeing with this?

I'm trying to be light-hearted while factual at the same time. A difficult tightrope to be sure, but my intent is simple: stop calling people Nazis. Unless they are actually one and they're telling you they are, or despite that, you yourself (understood you, not you Terry), may be embarrassingly similar to what you accuse under proper scrutiny.

To expand, I think that generally we need to end this meaningless name calling in general.

To believe in what the OP states simply makes you a genocidal totalitarian jackass, not a Nazi.

To be a Nazi, one has to believe in the ideology of National Socialism.

Much like to be a Communist one has to believe in the ideology of Marxism.

To simply have a handful of beliefs similar to that of National Socialists or Marxists does not make one either a Nazi or a Communist.

Nazis believed in building roads and people being paid a decent, liveable wage (if they were German at least). If someone advocates for infrastructure funding and decreasing the cost of living this does not make them the next Heinrich Himmler.

Likewise a Communist believed men and women should be treated equally, and that racial classification was an anathema to modern society and that mankind should not discriminate on the basis of race. If someone thinks women should be able to vote and Blacks should have the same status under the law as whites this does not make him the incarnation of Joseph Stalin.

Such pointless and inaccurate namecalling merely seeks, from sources on both the left and the right in modern western society serves merely to demonise a one's opponent and their ideas, without discussing the merits (or lack there of) of them.

And for fun, lets see what you have to do to actually be a Nazi.

A National Socialist has to, at the very least, believe in the following:

1. The elimination of political opposition through oppression of rival political movements and suppression of media.
2. The supremacy of the Germanic Aryan Race.
3. Believe that all Ethnic Germans should be united within a single Reich
4. Fealty to the Fuhrer of said Reich as the moral, spiritual and political leader of the Volk, who is considered infallible through Fuhrerprinzip
5. The subjugation of private enterprise to the state.
6. Expansion into Lebensraum through military conquest.
7. The extermination of subhuman races, such as Jews, Slavs, Roma etc.
8. The enslavement of subaryan races to the superior Germanic Aryan Race, Which is everyone who isn't Jewish, Slav, Roma, etc. Including other Europeans, Blacks, Arabs, Indians and so on.
9. The destruction of any and all Communists, as Communism is a Jewish conspiracy. (Judeo-Bolshevism)
10. The destruction of any and all Capitalists, as Capitalism is a Jewish conspiracy. (Judeo-Oligarchy)
11. The enforcement of proper and correct Aryan social hygiene (essentially the systemic mass slaughter of homosexuals, cripples and the mentally challenged)

These beliefs were the core of National Socialist ideology during the days of the Third Reich, and I would eat my hat if anyone accused of being a Nazi, a Secret Nazi. a Crypto-Nazi or any variation there of believes in these things.

The accusation of either "Communist" or "Socialism" is even more ridiculous but that would take several hours to dissect, primarily as Communism and Socialism are less solidified ideologies than National Socialism and I frankly do not have the time or desire to do so. I will simply say that multinational corporate entities are the very antithesis of both Communism and Socialism and it is unlikely anyone who supports such entities. or the entities themselves would be a follower of either.

Let's stop playing games and quit calling anyone a Nazi. The Nazi party existed for a short period in the 20th century. Almost anyone from that era is dead now. Using the name Nazi in modern time is ignorant.

If a white person subscribes the the Nazi agenda of hatred of Jews and white supremacy, I think they qualify as a Nazi, like these guys....

Well John, I will pay more attention to your posts. Thanks for a sumptuous reply.

I think we have a lot of dead horses around here, tropes and memes that have been beaten to death. One is this Nazi bs. It's into the ground. My immediate reaction to your post was based on this idea that the left is always calling the right Nazis while I really find little of this. Now this could be from my own isolation naturally but to that I can only offer that the amount of calling the right Nazis is far outpaced by those I have come to recognize as being of the right saying and whining that they are always being called Nazis.

Myself I would much prefer that if we have to use those old terms that we use them in their more generalness, fascist etc. ATS is populated by an interesting spectrum of folk many of which I suspect are generally repeaters. Hear a meme repeat a meme. Mix in the repeaters with the real trolls, those with an organized agenda behind them and this place can be a real chore trying to gather insight from typed words.

You for instance. At first I thought simple repeater but now know not to be the case, though whether or not you might be a provocateur in simpleton cloth remains to be seen. Conundrums. huh?

Anyway I do agree that all to often the simple memes do us all no justice but merely tit for tat . I gotta go for now but I will look forward to seeing you in discussions. Thanks.

I think you questions do not capture what it means to be fascist. There are several things happening in American culture and politics giving rise to an American style fascism. This video interview outlines a very good characterization of American style fascism:

Am I a provocateur? That's a good question. I actually don't know. Can't help myself when I see something glaringly problematic and no one says anything about it.
You know what's funny? Only 10 years ago I didn't see any difference between the left and the right. Conservatives or liberals. Things have morphed so drastically recently since then that I found myself here on this website doing what I have just been doing.
There's a group of people who are overtly anti-American and anti-human. That's bugging me. And they're demanding things of this country and the human race. At the least it seems like a conflict of interest.
I'm not repeating any script or serving anyone's interest. I'm just noticing what's happening. I think you are too.

Why do people always feel there has to be Nazis in a political discussion.

An obvious *hind sight* teaching tool that needs constant repeating (DO NOT TRY THIS social experiment if you want your country/heritage/people to prosper and thrive).

As far as i'm concerned, if you raise that flag then you're an enemy of the state.

I don't care what you define as Nazi because that's ultimately your opinion.

Nazism: The government shoots you (for not agreeing with them politically - or you follow a religion they don't approve of) and takes both cows

Or, the government shoots you for not being of an approved ethnicity.

Fun fact. The Nazis wanted to create Supercattle in addition to supermen. This goal led to some, eh, interesting breeding experiments in an attempt to genetically back-engineer a lost breed of wild cows.

Anyone who disagrees with mainstream liberal rhetoric, obviously worships Hitler and has an autographed copy of Mein Kampf -- which they read all day while wearing SS attire. Change mein mind.

Last Known WWII Nazi Living In U.S., Deported To Germany Last Year, Is Dead at 95

Except for Soros , there are literally no more real Nazi's left alive, stop saying it. It's an obvious indication of ignorance and stupidity.

Jews who fought for Hitler, or Nazi jews

Imagine that, omfg Jews who helped the Nazi's.

Soros any body, the Jew who helped Nazi's;

For what it’s worth, Soros did make his role sound more active in a 1998 interview with Steve Kroft on 60 Minutes.

Kroft: “My understanding is that you went . . . went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.”

Soros: “Yes, that’s right. Yes.”

Kroft: “I mean, that’s — that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?”

Soros: “Not, not at all. Not at all. Maybe as a child you don’t . . . you don’t see the connection. But it was — it created no — no problem at all.”

Kroft: “No feeling of guilt?”

Soros: “No.”

Kroft: “For example, that, ‘I’m Jewish, and here I am, watching these people go. I could just as easily be these, I should be there.’ None of that?”

Soros: “Well, of course . . . I could be on the other side or I could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away. But there was no sense that I shouldn’t be there, because that was — well, actually, in a funny way, it’s just like in the markets — that if I weren’t there — of course, I wasn’t doing it, but somebody else would — would — would be taking it away anyhow. And it was the — whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being taken away. So the — I had no role in taking away that property. So I had no sense of guilt.”

Truth bombs blowing the mind yet?

There many more examples, even better ones, but these are convincing to me.

Final note, I know many don't consider Soros a Nazi, I do. As do many people the world over. There's plenty of reasons.

Good find ADVISOR.

On one hand you have a man who was almost a kid during WWII and was given an assignment as a guard in a concentration camp. This man gets deported at age 94.

On the other hand, you have a man who helped the Nazis steal from the Jews. Why does the second man not get the same treatment as the first?

Both became American citizens. One has wealth measured in billions of dollars but gets to stay.

George Soros was born in 1930. That would make him, what, 15 in 1945? Nine years old in 1939?

So you didn't even watch the video and see him confess it in his own words? Directly from the horses mouth, yet you hear not ...

Living the truth on a daily basis is a tough road. And it will never come without cost. But living in the comfort of delusion, rather than taking action, is the path of cowards.

A delusion is a false belief that a person firmly holds to be true, regardless of whether it actually is true or even possible.

Choose your own ignorance, just don't push it on those who see and hear that which you deny.

All lies — even the 'white' ones we supposedly tell to protect people from unpleasant truths — only have one goal: to protect the liar.

Are you lying to yourself?

What are you afraid of...face your fear and be released from the grip of ignorance, self induced or blindly accepted.

Come on snowflakes, wake up and see.
Come on millennials, wake up and hear.
Come on ye of little life experiences, go forth and live.
Come out of the basement of ye parents and grow up.

Your reality isn't the reality the world lives in. It's your own creation, a bubble of comfort and lies. You can choose the lies, just don't accuse those who don't, of being wrong.

Ignorance isn't bliss especially for those who are not ignorant.
