www.axios.com...

Mike Bloomberg is jumping into the Democratic presidential race because he believes that Joe Biden is fading, opening the moderate lane next to Elizabeth Warren, sources close to the former New York mayor tell Axios.

Why it matters: "Mike will spend whatever it takes to defeat Donald Trump," a Bloomberg source said. "The nation is about to see a very different campaign than we’ve ever seen before."

Time will tell, but with unlimited money, can Trump be defeated? And more importantly, does this show what most have been saying? The Democratic choices are awful and have no legitimate chance of winning, despite the wonderful poll results.

ETA: And on a side note, do those who pumped money into the idiots who will disappear behind bazillion dollar plans that won't work get angry? I'm curios about that.

I think this is a response by the DNC to reports Wall Street dems would back Trump if Warren got the ticket.

wow, that must have stung a bit. But surely the wall street dems are just a small insignificant portion of voters......right?

Prediction?

He'll poll as high as skim milk, but it looks like Wall Street just bought a political candidate!

They're the coffers, which is far more important than voters.

But what we saw is their public stance, who knows what their private stance is...lulz.

That's kind of like betting a horse you know can't win. What's the point?

President Trump just held a press briefing. Said he'd love to run against Bloomberg, but due to so many "personal and professional problems", he's not going to be the dem nominee.

There's a certain train of thought that TPTB won't let Trump win in 2020. The fix is already in.

Eh, it's really nothing new.

Some of Teddy Roosevelt's Progressive party platform-

-Strict limits and disclosure requirements on political campaign contributions
-Registration of lobbyists
-Recording and publication of Congressional committee proceedings
-In the social sphere, the platform called for:
-A national health service to include all existing government medical agencies.
-Social insurance, to provide for the elderly, the unemployed, and the disabled
-Limiting the ability of judges to order injunctions to limit labor strikes.
-A minimum wage law for women
-An eight-hour workday
-A federal securities commission
-Farm relief
-Workers' compensation for work-related injuries
-An inheritance tax
