Pfft.. this is nothing new, he had to recently pay a 25 million settlement due to the scam that was the Trump "University." For a billionaire, this is nothing new. Elect one of the 1%, and get all the sleaze, corruption, lying, and narcissism that often comes with the 1%.

The correct answers are: yes, misappropriation of funds is a crime, and yes, Trump admitted he committed this crime.

Individuals confess to crimes every day without prosecution.

A settlement is not legally a finding of fact.

Sounds like trump complied with authorities, and the judge lowered the penalties considerably from what prosecution was working for. It's a complex legal world, you play ball you may cross a line. This isn't an issue to define anyone on...

Correct - he only agreed to settle, to avoid finishing the trial. That is, he probably was, and was offering enough money to make it go away. Just like in his 25 million settlement about a year ago for his "university." Not legally guilty.. buuut.. probably guilty.

They need some bargaining chips to barter with to convince him to just fake some kind of illness(dementia maybe?) And resign..

And why on earth would such a sane, vital, patriotic and intelligent man do such a thing?

Wait so the charity misused 11k and people are going nuts, but nobody cares that the Clinton foundation spent millions for Chelseas' wedding?

smh

sounds like people are just grasping at straws here trying to find anything and everything to get this guy and so far they have 11k of misused funds which was spent to buy a portrait of himself.

Did anyone say where that portrait went? was it for the brick and mortar office of this charity? was it for his own home? I really don't see the big deal. He misused 11k, is paying the fine and paying the money back to the charity. It's not like ALL the money raised was then funneled out and spent on drugs and hookers or trafficking children. It was a portrait......a portrait.

No trial..no legal verdict. Correct. So in the eyes of the law that means he was not guilty of a crime.

There were 2 separate Clinton foundations.

One was personal.

If you go by association there are more places that would qualify as well, such as places where Obama and many prominent DNC partied as well as RNC.

Deflection? Check.

Whataboutism? Check.

Complete hypocrisy? Check.

Partisan moral bankruptcy? Check.

Not one single individual vote lost over this

Not one single person is going to not-support him based on this

2020 is still more-than guaranteed for President Trump

Usual

Could you please provide some evidence for these apparent statements of 'facts' ?

Memories here may be short. I remember the excited postings about the event where this money was collected (how Trump was supporting veterans.) There were some threads the next year showing that the charities were asking "so where's the money?" and that they (like other charities he presumably donated to) hadn't been paid.

I think mention of the lawsuit got short shrift (in spite of it being veterans charities that he was holding out on.)

I think, however, it was well publicized enough that their only option was to cave.
