I’m not surprised by anything psychopaths do, and all politicians are psychopaths in my book.

Perhaps the DOJ dropped the ball, perhaps they were covering for Trump because they’ve gotten away with it.

It’s not good for our country. It’s more of the same divides et impera we’ve seen for years.

I imagine that the DOJ is actually focused on more legitimate investigations. I do not see them covering for Trump, just them trying to do their job in this divisive time. Even I, an absolutely nobody, has researched enough past news artcles, to see that Ukraine call whistle blower is a nothing burger.

There is no meat for quid pro quo due to the fact Ukraine had already been pursuing investigations. Trump has always been suspicious of Ukraine corruption. It was known before he even was elected (September 2016) that he would not readily throw funds their way.

DOJ is not going to want to waste their resources investigating this when Zelensky already made statement that there is no quid pro quo nor demands made by Trump. DOJ is correctly investigating Ukraine criminal corruption that is suspected to have occurred. Trump diplomatic phone call is a joke to any sincere investigator who is just honest with themselves.

Except that, congress has the power of the purse, and it seems that alot of our foriegn policy involves rather large sums of money being handed out. And I do believe it's the congress that has to ratify treaties, isnt it?
I'm not denying that there should be a balance of power and that balance is terribly upset. But, let's think twice before we give the president the sole power to trade a few stars for dirt on a political opponent. Because we probably have one in office now that would gladly give california away!!

Barr is not openly covering for Trump? I wholeheartedly disagree.

Ukraine call is an extremely weak hook for impeachment, agreed.

Quid pro quo is foreign policy. The West has been dealing with balancing aid vs. Ukrainian corruption for two decades.

Zelensky said he felt no pressure, the White House Chief of Staff admitted that there was indeed a quid pro quo and told America to get over it.

The Senate ratifies treaties yes.

I’m in favor of SERIOUSLY restricting the current power of the President AND of the Executive Branch to Constitutional limits.

I don't think you understand what due process means. What the Democrats are doing is probably best classified as hardball politics. Stop whining.

So much wrong and challengeable with the actual Democratic message ... there’s no need to misrepresent it.

What did I misrepresent?... Stop generalizing and be specific.

Republicans did exactly the same thing to Democrats when they held majorities in the House. Republicans are a bunch of whiners. This is what happens.

They did not. Republicans gave the investigation to an independent committee during the Clinton impeachment, they gave subpoena powers to democrats, and without exceptions Clinton's counsel was able to cross-examine all witnesses without Republicans denying them the right to answer any specific questions... You are lying through your teeth as you always do...

Your posts are a study in fallacious argument.

Hun.

I do understand her well, and she is right. You flip flop frequently, but in truth you have from day one been in favor of impeachment every time socialists/democrats called for it. Which in fact started 19 minutes right after POTUS Trump became POTUS officially.

In fact, a mere 19 minutes after President Trump took the oath of office on Jan. 20, 2017, a headline in the Washington Post heralded thatThe campaign to impeach President Trump has begun.
...

Democrats need to abandon their impeachment inquisition

I agree with you 100%

Socialists/democrats know that POTUS Trump hasn't committed any crimes, but since day one they keep finding excuses and lies to search for any crime, even if the POTUS just asked questions to his advisers about what he could do as POTUS. They will use anything, and everything, from exaggerations to full blown lies to depose the POTUS and not allow him to run for POTUS in 2020.

I agree with you.

I also am 100% positive that anyone who gives exculpatory evidence once the inquisition enacts the new policies they voted on, and people are allowed to give exculpatory evidence - everyone giving it will be eventually charged with perjury by the Democratic leadership. Even if the testimony they have given was 100% accurate. The exculpatory evidence will not be allowed to stand without doubt being cast on it by the Democratic Party. They are that angry that Hillary wasn't elected.

I also expect that Hillary will jump in the race at the last minute and be the nominee, because all the others are so darn weird they make even Hillary look quite normal. Sanders refuses to say how much his proposals will cost the taxpayers. Warren, it is well known that she is a white person who abused affirmative action (the words of her bosses prove this). Biden can't even remember what state he is in, and the whole Ukraine thing bits him as badly as Trump.

Barring that, the Democrats will go ahead with impeaching Trump and throw Pence into the mix, so they can put Nancy on the throne. Democrats have even admitted this on MSNBC and other places.

I'm not sure the Democracy part of Democrat truly applies anymore.

ROFLMAO... This coming from a REEEEEEE!!!! member...

First of all, the whistleblower is a liar, in the written complaint he only stated that he only had second hand knowledge. Since then it was changed, after people realized that the requirement in the whistleblower form was changed a few days before the complaint was filed. Now the whistleblower claims he has second hand info, and some first hand info... BULL CRAP.

Second of all, I don't even think this whistleblower applies as a real whistleblower. Since he is part of the intelligence community he would only be a whistleblower if the info/complaint was related to intelligence matters. But the conversation between POTUS Trump and the Ukrainian President is a "diplomatic matter", not an intelligence matter.

Third of all, since the "whistleblower" is being used to try to impeach the POTUS, he is not a whistleblower anymore, and the POTUS, as well as the public, have a right to know whom is accusing the POTUS so we can figure out whether this "whistleblower" is just a biased democrat with a beef against POTUS Trump or not. Plus if he stays as a "whistleblower" the actual transcript of what he said in the intelligence committee, nor any other evidence he "might have given" will not be presented to the other committees or even to the Senate, only a summary made by Schiff will be made available, and Schiff is known to LIE through his teeth. Not to mention that keeping this whistlerblower hidden means that his statements/evidence will never see the light of day for the general public. We would have to once again believe what Schiff will claim, and sorry to say but Schiff lies even more than you do.

The whistle blowers claims have subsequently been corroborated by multiple first hand witnesses including many Trump appointees. One even paid/donated a substantial sum of money for the privilege. Wonder if he regrets that?
