I think one of the most ridiculous parts of the trump phenomenon is the mental gymnastics people do to explain away his craziness when the real truth is none of them care if he is guilty.

So why not just be honest about it???

If you think the “leftists” are such a threat that it is worth trump making back room deals with enemy governments to stop them.. just say that...

If you think it is worth trump using military aid to stop them, then just say that...

I'm voting for the opposite of whatever you vote for every single time. How's that.

If you think his lies are worth it because they “piss off the left”.. then just say that..

I personally find that a way more logical argument than the alternative.. well if you buy into the Fox News version of reality at least.

Then you won’t look like a totally silly when you regurgitate they talking points memo trump sends out every morning..

This is not a joke... I do not mean this sarcastically..

It just seems better to be real..

I would love to see some evidence that Trump is not a monster.

Evidence? Well, I'm not going to scan in the medical reports and legal correspondence for obvious reasons, but...

Most of you know I had a quintuple bypass last year. That was after having a congestive heart attack in 2016. I am now up to 7 total heart attacks, one since the surgery, and I suffer from extreme fatigue to the point I can't work an 8-hour day.

Last year my wife wrote a letter to Donald Trump telling him about our situation. I thought it was funny... he's not going to respond except maybe to ask for a vote or spew some political garbage, but if it makes her feel better, so be it. I was too busy concentrating on trying every therapy I could find to try and get my energy back enough to work again, and didn't have time for politicians.

But I was wrong.

Donald Trump (more likely one of his staffers; let's be realistic here) wrote a personalized letter back to her (with his signature, and I can't say one way or another if it's original or a stamp... if a stamp, it's a damn good one), telling her he was sorry to hear about our situation (standard political ploy) and was forwarding our information to someone who could help (not standard political ploy). A couple of days after getting the response I received a call from Social Security. The nice lady not only let me know I was likely eligible for disability, but took my application right there over the phone and gave me some advice on what to do if I was turned down (since almost everyone gets an initial turndown).

I got the turndown and followed her advice. On Halloween, I had my first hearing and was approved for disability. All thanks to Donald Trump (or someone in his administration) actually doing something instead of just expressing fake sorrow over our situation that they didn't give two shakes of a rat's rear about. I would not have considered disability had they not forwarded my info to SS.

Anecdotal? Sure. No news organization is going to interview some crazy old redneck from backwoods Alabama over getting a disability claim approved. EVERYTHING HE DOES LIKE THIS is going to be anecdotal, so you might want to get used to that. Not everyone does good for the spotlight; true charity comes from doing good and helping when there's no profit in it.

So there you go... direct help from the Trump administration, by someone you actually know.

Cool story. That’s pretty awesome.

I didn’t know that about you.

But I did know that about President Trump. That he’s quite charitable and without seeking recognition.

It’s pretty cool that your wife’s reaction was “I know who to contact, President Trump”.

Trump is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. This is known as due-process in the USA for people unfamiliar with U.S. law. Academia wouldn't exist without religion. The 1st institutions of higher education & libraries of knowledge were religious monasteries, which evolved into academies, which evolved into universities. The values of liberty within U.S. law insure our natural rights. These rights include: freedom of speech (any kind of speech), freedom of religion, right to own/carry guns for self-defense, privacy/property rights, due-process (presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law) & equal state representation (electoral college). If you're against any of these things you're anti-American & an enemy of the USA.

Democrat politicians should all be tried for sedition. They're domestic enemies of the U.S.. They routinely violate  their oath of office without any consequences for their actions. They swore an oath to 'support & defend the constitution'. Most Democrat politicians violate the 2nd amendment with calls for restrictions/bans on guns. They violate the 12th amendment with calls to end the electoral college. They violate Article I, Section 2, Clause 3: Article I, Section 9, Clause 4, as well as, 4th & 5th amendments when they call for wealth & estate taxes. They also violate the 1st amendment by violating religious freedoms & freedom of speach. They're also against due-process.

Congressional Oath
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

In the long run no one likes to pay higher taxes & higher living expenses, whether on the left or right. Socialism leads to higher taxes & living expenses. If these expenses get too high then there's a revolution against government. We can see this happen over and over again throughout history.

Congress is supposed to regulate/maintain the weights & measures of money (gold & silver). Congress has not upheld its responsibility since 1913, when the socialist Federal Reserve Bank was established, which is not federal & has no reserves. Bank bailouts, insurance company bailouts, auto industry bailouts & subsidies are all forms of socialism. We haven't had free markets since 1913. Everything from gold/silver to stocks/bonds to gas/oil to currencies/crypto-currencies to real estate and everything in between is artifically manipulated by the Federal Reserve Bank. Every economic downturn & war since 1913 was caused by the Federal Reserve Bank.

We have a debt based fractional reserve monetary system. For every $100 deposited into a bank, 90 more are created out of thin air to loan out to others. This is a Ponzi scheme which grows exponentially larger as time goes on. If new debt is not issued in the form of new loans the system collapses. The U.S. dollar has lost @ 95% of its value since 1971, when Nixon took us completely off the Gold standard. As of right now the Federal Reserve Bank is creating between 50 to 100 billion per day to keep the banks afloat. This is growing exponentially larger as time goes on. The creation of debt is known as inflation of the money supply. As it grows larger we will experience hyperinflation. Meaning that the more dollars are created the less they are worth. Eventually, the dollar will become completely worthless & we'll see federal & state governments not able to pay their employees.

Leftists cities are the canary in the coal mine for the rest of the country. With high taxes & over-regulation in leftist cities, we already see unaffordable housing, rampant homelessness, rampant drug use, feces/urine in the streets, the return of medival & biblical diseases like black plague and leprosy, record numbers of single mothers, record numbers of high school dropouts, utility grid failures with water supplies/electricity, fires, no electricity/internet, etc..

It amazed me. As much as I support Trump, it was never because of anything I thought he would personally do for me. It was because he was implementing the things for the country I had wanted to see for so long and helping the economy.

My problem was that Bush/Obama killed the economy at the one time when I needed a solid job the most. Now I can't take advantage of it. But not only has Trump picked up the economy, he also has sympathy for those who can't keep up now.

If there is any group of people lacking in compassion, it is the Progressives. Conservatives give and give without caring for fame or recognition... Progressives only give when they can get some air time out of it, and usually only as much as they have to in order to look good. I have personally left bags of groceries on front porches, knocked on the door, and ran away... I worked for Habitat for Humanity for years and years, and signed the sign-in sheet once... and then only because one of the ladies there noticed I hadn't and insisted I do. I have picked up hitchhikers and carried them out of my way. I have picked up homeless people and taken them to a restaurant for a good meal, then brought them back. Hell, I have opened my home to a few homeless people... some of those times didn't work out so well, but a few did.

And never once did I receive, never once did I want, any recognition. I can't even give you places or dates... I don't remember. All I remember was the good feeling from knowing I actually helped someone. No tax deductions, no paper trail, no publicity, no bragging about what a great person I am... just laying up treasures in heaven, where robbers can't break in and the moths can't eat it.

I'd bet good money the people complaining about how in-compassionate conservatives are can't hold a candle to what I have personally done... and when confronted with the facts, they can only scream "anecdotal!"

That is so cool! I just barely caught your post and I'm so
glad I did.Thank you Redneck. Aren't you a little concerned of
other members exploiting your story tho? Something I would hope
no one would do but.... Well you must have thought of that.

God Bless you man you're a fighter!

Not sure how anyone could exploit it... there's nothing specific in there except the hearing date, and that's confidential information... no one could look me up, and even if they did, there are several different judges who hear several different cases each on any particular day. I purposely left out all other info.

Not that I really care anyway... anyone who wants to stalk this old redneck is just asking for more trouble than they can swallow at one time. I live a simple life, tell the truth, and mind my own business. My reputation would take care of anyone who tried to start real life rumors about me. I've set myself up that way because I just don't trust people.

Besides, there were a couple of details I won't go into specifics on that happened during all this, little things that told me this success was a reward from God Himself. I hope no one decides to interfere with Him... that's not a smart thing to do.

Okay. Let’s be real. Trump has done more to help this country than any President in the last 50 years. All the left want to do is reee about it. That is why people are saying F the left.

He hasn't done a thing to help small American farmers, or traditional small towns. His dumb trade war is putting up prices for machinery and restricting markets that produce can be sold to.

Plus he constantly antagonize liberals and when liberals get antagonize they take out their anger on regular conservatives.

That's looks like winning, not too mention other economies like here in Australia suffering from this trump induced trade war.

The USDA has just approved a 16 billion dollar aid package for US farmers.

Thank you Mr President.

And yeah I agree, antagonising easily-excitable people who are prone to violent reactions is not a good idea.
Its hard not to do it though.

Nothing? Really... Hmm...

The company I work for is working 24/7, and can't keep up with the orders coming in... So something is obviously working in this small town...

That small town is experiencing a boom the likes of which it's never seen. According to some of the folks who've lived there for most of their lives, if not the entirety of them. The area I live in, which is just up the mountain from that little town is also growing like the proverbial weed.

Just coincidentally enough, or maybe not so coincidentally, all this growth started about two years ago...

Admittedly, this isn't California, it's northern Alabama, and that will set some hackles on end among some on ATS--rednecks don'tcha know? But the situation here seems rather brighter than it did a couple of years back.

Businesses are booming around here. I haven't heard the first farmer have anything but praise for President Trump.

As far as the "liberals" (I am assuming you mean Progressives), what you're saying is they can dish it out but can't take it. Too bad, so sad... they were attacking regular conservatives long before Trump came on the scene, too. So cry me a river.

That package is a band aid to help curb the negative effect these trade wars are causing the farmers.

It's classic action reaction solution playing out.
