there are channels only for this kind of old stuff. its called senior tv. i recently watched 'the towering inferno' with mc queen and a week ago an old doris day and rock hudson movie with my girlfriend. we laughed a lot, no apocalypse was in sight.

And for the kids, the old Looney Tunes cartoons from the 40's to the 60's. I used to love the WW2 era bugs bunny cartoons. Some of the OLD Tom&Jerry cartoons as well.
