The Democrats are pretty much trying the case in secret, and trying to control the outcome, they are trying to control what information ( or lack there of) gets into the Senate.
I believe it was Mark Levin or somebody like that who said it was a Soviet style proceeding. Ant that makes sense due to the allegiance of so many Democrats to Soviet style communism.

Democrats think this will set up a Democrat victory in the 2020 elections.

I work in an office filled with Dembos. None of them are enthusiastic about getting out to vote.

I work in a office full of right-wingers. They all hate Trump. They are all going to vote for who-ever the Dem is no matter what.

My anecdotal inventions are reality.

They aren't trying a case at all.

They are preparing an indictment.

If the Senate can not disprove the charges that is Trump's fault, not the Dems.

They are preparing the indictment by controlling what information goes into it. What kind of system refuses testimony from an opposing party just because ?

It is also quite clear that Democrats are not interested in doing what’s right, but what they want, in this case removing a duly elected President by any means, even if it means sacrificing sone of their own people at the polls, as they surely know that over 63 million Americans will punish them at the polls. By the way, even if it goes to the Senate, the Senate can devise their own rules, and the Senate also is under no obligation to try or to remove the President. This is a cheap trick by DemocRATS.

The impeachment process was not placed in the Constitution so it could be used for crass, partisan gamesmanship, but was instead created to remedy serious misbehavior by federal officials.

Members of Congress should be wary of abusing the impeachment authority in such a manner, because it could imperil the stability of our constitutional structure by removing a duly elected president.

Is it really Trump’s fault if the Senate cannot “ disprove” the House impeachment case? According to Heritage, they don’t even have to hold a trial, convict, or remove the President from office and I’m pretty sure the GOP majority know they will have a civil war on their hands

It is important to note, however, that it is entirely up to the Senate to decide whether to hold a trial. There is no obligation under the Constitution to do so.

Heritage also states that it is not a jury trial as in a regular court of law. The Democrats keto talking about a crime they believe Trump committed, but it really comes down to they don’t want him in office.
In my view, Bill Clinton should have been impeached for a real high crime which was to give technology to China. That is the sad state of it, because for whatever reason, they didn’t try to convict him if that but fir sex in the Oval Office and lying about it.
