Basically, Trump needs to recuse himself from that process because his involvement is against the law when it comes to asking foreign entities to investigate political opponents due to a blatant conflict of interest.

aaaaahaahahaha
that is a laff riot

So the chief law enforcement officer in the United States doesn't have any say in enforcing our nation's laws?
Interesting.

He definitely has a say in enforcing the nation's laws, but when there are blatant conflicts of interest, then no.

Sometimes the law dictates that the chief has to recuse himself.

It's not a formal recusal, of course, but we don't live in a dictatorship yet; so there are limits to what a POTUS can do, and situations when the law dictates that he needs to be hands off. He can't ask for foreign help investigating his political opponents.

I know, you're caught up on the word "recusal", but it's the most fitting description for willingly taking a hands off approach and leaving it to the professionals beneath him. If he wants Burisma/Biden investigated, then he needs to let DOJ agencies do their job and not get personally involved. The blatant conflict of interest of his personal involvement taints the process, and personally asking for foreign help to investigate a political opponent is against the law.

Decorated military officer with first hand knowledge comes forward and now it's cries of "It's just an opinion so it means nothing!"

This decorated military officer is upset because he disagrees with Trumps policy decisions.

He is upset because Trump is changing long established Polices that he is used to pushing and agress with.

Hi has forgotten that:

a) the President sets foreign policy, not beurorats, and

b) the State Department works for the President, not the other way around.

Your post tells me that you haven't read the transcript the WH released.

By all means - point to the line in the transcript where Trump said he was withholding military aid/funding.

Furthermore, Zelensky feeling, or not feeling, pressured has no bearing on the crime.

There is no crime without a threat. There was none.

The ask itself is a crime regardless of how polite or threatening it is.

Really? The ask, that was perfectly in line with the written 'mutual cooperation with investigations regarding corruption' agreement we have in place with Ukraine (and many other countries)?

That ask?

One good thing out of all of this is that the Shadow Govt, who thinks THEY run US Policy are all being exposed.

They dont set policy, they implement the President's Policy. Some of the people who have been interviewed by Schiff and with the Syria pullout seem to think they set the Policies, not the President.

So you know that Trump flat out lied when he claimed he released a "perfect transcript", "exact transcript", "comma for comma", "line for line" since the very first paragraph of the very first page is a disclaimer stating the exact opposite of Trump's statements about it.

It is as close to an exact transcript as you're going to get, seeing as they don't record these phone calls. This is how it has been for decades.

Asking foreign assistance for help in a domestic election.

You mean for help investigating criminal interference in the 2016 election?

Ignorance is bliss... you must really be one blissful dude (or is it dudette?)...

Look at what the Dems did to Flynn because he wouldn't repeat their narrative. Just because the man was good at war doesn't mean he's honest about his politics.

In just four years they took the most pro-military war-loving patriot-worshiping religious demographic and turned them against genuine patriotic country-loving military heroes in favor of a draft-dodging narcissistic serial philanderer and con man.

Were have you being under the 8 years of the Obama admin? where CNN treated him like a messiah and with a cult following.

Trump a draft-dodging narcissistic serial philanderer and con man? lol and Obama was that great right? Obama was not a con artist? you liberals no matter always lie. Preach but don't practice the police which you preach.

Trump a draft-dodging narcissistic serial philanderer and con man?

You seem to have summed him up perfectly. Trump is exactly that.

Wouldn’t you say Bill Clinton was a draft-dodging narcissistic serial philanderer and con man? I wouldn’t be surprised if you think he was a great president.

Is Vindman on Schiff's witness list?

HUGE! Schiff Witness Vindmam Testified that He “Thought” President’s “Policy” Was Wrong So He Advised Ukrainians to Ignore the President.

What a mess the Democrats have gotten themselves into. If they try to sell this sham on the American people they have the same gall as Rep. Swalwell thinking he has a chance at President.
