The White house has formally responded to Pelosi's Impeachment Resolution that is not, according to her, and Impeachment resolution.

“The resolution put forward by Speaker Pelosi confirms that House Democrats’ impeachment has been an illegitimate sham from the start as it lacked any proper authorization by a House vote,” said White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham. “It continues this scam by allowing [Intelligence Committee] Chairman Schiff, who repeatedly lies to the American people, to hold a new round of hearings, still without any due process for the president.”

Washington Times

Official statement from the Press Secretary a little bit ago...

The resolution put forward by Speaker Pelosi confirms that House Democrats’ impeachment has been an illegitimate sham from the start as it lacked any proper authorization by a House vote.

It continues this scam by allowing Chairman Schiff, who repeatedly lies to the American people, to hold a new round of hearings, still without any due process for the President.

The White House is barred from participating at all, until after Chairman Schiff conducts two rounds of one-sided hearings to generate a biased report for the Judiciary Committee. Even then, the White House’s rights remain undefined, unclear, and uncertain – because those rules still haven’t been written.

Good for Trump on this one... stand fast!

The Democrats are clearly worried they'll lose a court challenge and hope this gets them over the net.

As long as these idiot Dems continue in office, there will be problems. Good thing we have Trump and the people who stand behind him.

Schiff is a joke.

Just the fact that he's spearheading this investigation is a conflict of interest. This is why the GOP brought in an independent counsel against Clinton... too bad the Dems already played that card with Russia, rolled a huge goose egg, and looked like asses in front of the American people to such a degree that a similar IC would now be unthinkable to most involved.

Possibly...

But they seem to be forgetting that actual people vote in elections and they are ignoring We The People in the process they are trying to pass.

They are bleeding voters with their current round of Democratic primary members, they have no coherent platform to run on and the average voter right now just thinks they are being sore losers.

At this point barring an economic apocalypse happening Trump has 2020 in the bag and now I'm thinking they are going to lose the House as well.

It's an odd thing to watch...

A major political party just committing suicide.

More to this point, even Mother Jones says it will go Trump's way:

Impeachment Is Heading to the Supreme Court. Trump’s Lawyers Will Be Happy.

When a Congress taking up impeachment runs headlong into a president claiming executive privilege, which side prevails? When a Congress performing oversight runs into a president who claims that oversight is a fraud, who wins?

In almost every scenario, the president can expect victory. Even if he loses these cases at the Supreme Court, it may only be after a long judicial process that could run out the clock on impeachment, perhaps even past the 2020 elections. Even better for Trump would be if the court, guided by Chief Justice John Roberts, creates new precedent protecting the president, or decides the judicial branch shouldn’t get involved in impeachment decisions—a win by default that would allow Trump to continue to stonewall.

“There is no case of the Supreme Court that discusses the ability of the Congress to secure documents and testimony from the White House during an impeachment,” says Saikrishna Prakash, an expert on presidential authority at the University of Virginia School of Law. It’s unclear if the courts will view impeachment as altering the calculus in deciding cases that are fundamentally about the balance of power between two branches of government. The administration announced Tuesday that in addition to executive privilege claims, it would not cooperate with Congress’ impeachment inquiry, arguing that the probe itself is constitutionally invalid, a claim it is also making in a lawsuit against the House Ways and Means Committee’s attempt to obtain Trump’s tax returns. The brewing battle over Congress’s requests could give Roberts, a conservative on a right-wing Supreme Court that is generally friendly to executive power, a chance to decide the question in a way that could hand a victory not only to Trump, but to future presidents.

Who cares what the WH thinks? I believe the House and Pelosi are taking the lead on impeachment, since it is there place. We'll get to hear from the WH in the Senate.

Right now, the WH will just have to sit and wait. Pelosi is calling the shots for now.

Don't ever underestimate the dishonesty and ignorance of the Democrat base voter. They'll vote lock step vote for them no matter how worthless and crime infested the candidate.

They are blinded by their hatred of those that disagree with them. I don’t need to be hating on folks. I get my revenge at the polls as do a lot of other Americans.

So Trump and the Executive branch doesn't matter.

The people that voted for him don't matter either.

Aw, look how cute you are using terms like that. You rendered yourself completely irrelevant with that one statement. Bless your heart.

Dems are walking into Trump's trap, he has them all angles, they should just give up and stop embarrassing themselves. Even if they get the vote, Republicans will have subpoena powers and it would be over for Dems. Picking Dems witnesses apart would be easy, since they never have evidence to back anything up.

Remember in history books when the great debater, Abe Lincoln was debating against the formidable Stephen Douglas and Lincoln fished around in his pocket, emerging with an Uno card in his hand? Historians claim he won the election that day, slamming Douglas down with the infamous Reverse card in front of the dozens of Illinois voters present to witness the event...

Or perhaps not. Regardless, in 2019 the ol' reverse seems to be a shiny object the enfeebled can hoot and holler at their own about, so there's always that.

I'm looking forward now to the ballot box rooting out some RINOs and the Republican party heading back towards actually being conservative.

As for the Democratic party, they are imploding.

Let's see what is left of them come springtime and go from there.

www.vox.com... yeah sure the house starts impeachment but the senate tries and or convicts or aqquits and going by this well it aint gonna go to conviction in senate

Trump ally and Senate Judiciary Chair Lindsey Graham, who’s at the forefront of this push in the upper chamber, introduced a resolution on Thursday that condemns the House inquiry and its interviews with impeachment witnesses behind closed doors. The resolution, which has 50 Republican cosponsors, also urges the House to hold a formal vote to initiate an impeachment inquiry, a move that could give lawmakers in the minority more power to subpoena witnesses. Three Republicans have yet to sign onto the measure including Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Mitt Romney (R-UT). “If you believe you have a case against the president, vote to open up an inquiry,” Graham said in a press conference announcing the resolution, which is also cosponsored by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
so with it looking like baring any insane type of game changing evidence the house impeachment attempts is an exercise in futility

eh we may continue to get dammaged in the house but were pretty much focusing on holding the senate and white house but that may change by 2020 and it will be interesting to see how a failed impeachment impacts the dems at the voting booths
