We can also look at other places to compare. Louisiana is red, has very little social spending. And yet standard of living there is pretty dismal.

I'd rather be poor in Louisiana vs. poor in San Francisco

Well yeah. Rich people are scumbags and rather than do their part to help the economy, they care more about getting obscenely high bonuses and salaries at the expense of others. # the rich, they deserve to be taxed higher.

That's EXACTLY what California said to the rich,
The rich gave them the middle finger on their way leaving the state.

In the end, the rich leaving only hurt the middle class and poor! Why is this so hard to comprehend?

Yeah cause the world is rigged in such a way the rich can play musical chairs with nations pulling the chair out from anyone who doesn't play ball. So of course it screwed the poor and middle class, the poor and middle class have no leverage because the rich have made sure there's always more desperate people and nations they can turn to.

Bleed a people dry, when they get uppity, move to others desperate for anything, wait til they get uppity and move back to some other group now made desperate by your neglect. Each time they can give less and less and demand more and more until eventually everyone but the elite are slaving away in third world #holes with pockets of splendor for only the elite.

There's an end game here and it's all of us dead or enslaved.

Because you’re wrong jagstorm. You generally have two options now for American “rich” folk. Either they stay, by having lowered taxes, loopholes, low regulations and wages, and other various sundry ways to benefit the local population as little as possible. OR they can take their exploited treasures and leave. Either way the locals get screwed. Either way is unsustainable. And you act like they aren’t all leaving anyway. Anyone who CAN move to China, Vietnam, Mexico, has largely done so. Or they’ll move to places where they have to pay minimal taxes to support the community. Why incentivize corporations to move and dodge taxes and thereby provide downward pressure on wages and communities, rather than enacting a system that forces them to remain where they are and settle for respectable profit, rather than ludicrous profit? We have the best leverage already, the largest consumer population per capita in the world. They can be forced to play ball. If only they weren’t the ones allowed to make the rules.
