Thanks! S+F.

I DJ'd in high school (graduated in 87) and it's amazing the full circle that music has come. Today's EDM music has it's roots in the late 80's and early 90's techno and freestyle.

As far as house music goes, I think Chicago house was the best...especial Marshall Jefferson and anything on Trax records.

Chicago house was part of what we grew up on here in the late 80's/early 90's.
I don't listen to it anymore really, but I do appreciate what it was at it's peak.
Traxx a memory.
Had many DJ friends in high school.
I had a few records myself, Insomniakkk being the first I ever bought. Had dreams of DJing parties as a youth. Then I grew up lol.
Thanks for triggering the nostalgia trip for me.

Totally. I grew up in Chicago and was in HS 90-94 everywhere you went and every car was playing it especially the radio station B96 lol

In today's terms those songs would probably be acid house or garage. Electro house in today's age is weird sounds but with a build up and a big thumping 4x4 beat.
today's tech house and deep house definitely pay homage to some 80s kinda house.
