Reopen a thread please

Any chance the following thread can be reopened yet?:

Breaking: DOJ Launches Criminal Investigation Seeks Charges In Russia Probe


...It's been 15 hours since it was closed for Staff Review.

I often wonder why some threads are closed for staff revue and then just fade away.
What is it that is so unique or special about that thread that you are requesting to be reopened?

It's vital that the information on that thread be continued to be evaluated ad nauseam I guess.

A sample of the gems of political discussion from the final page alone.

It doesn't matter. Compared to what Obama/Biden ordered their people to do, President Trump is an angel.

That kind of in depth commentary can be found on just about all of the threads that are still open for posting so why is this one thread important enough to re-open?

When it comes to arguing/bickering, that was one of the tamest threads on ATS.

After a quick scan, I'm sure the ATS moderator will agree, and turn it back on.

It says right on the mods post why it was closed, if it was in the mud pit it would likely be still open.

Recently there was a thread by another mod explaining that any political thread that is not in mud pit that devolves into mudpit style bickering will be shut down.
They wont move it to the pit, they will just kill it.

Well, there's so much new and damning Spygate information anyways. Info that could be collated with what was already known and with a little finesse a knockout case could be made right up front.

Not like it would be the same thread with so many angles to depart from.

That was a good thread though and would be nice to see it reopened.

I was enjoying the thread and, all the while, participating in it within the rules.
With 71 flags...It appears MANY others were enjoying the thread, as well.

A better question would be: Why does that particular thread bother you so much?

I thought so too, pretty standard stuff, lol.
Although I do think that intentional trolling is targeted
at certain topics in hopes of stifling discussion. That much
was obvious for many pages.

This is a perfect method for the Trolls on here to have a thread killed. They prod other posters to follow up with equal or better belligerence and they can get a thread closed real quick.

I think it's clear that, with 20 Flags to this request, there is a great deal of interest in seeing the thread in question reopened.

Again, I appeal to ATS administration to reactivate it.

I suspect by the mod comment it won't be getting reopened , maybe post it up again but in the pit...

Why do you Help then stop a thread?

Staff actions are never discussed on the open board. We only discuss Staff actions with the person involved via private messages which are to never be shared on the open board. It's a closed process for what should be obvious reasons.
