I was just listening to yesterday's Joe Rogan interview with Edward Snowden on YouTube, when the subject of "aliens" came up. I transcribed that part of the interview below.

Snowden's statement on this subject is not surprising, because if he had found proof of a government coverup on aliens, he would've written an entire book about it, instead of a brief snippet on the subject in his newly released book, "Permanent Record."

If the government does possess alien technology, including bodies from crashed alien craft, than that information is buried so deep, that even a "technology specialist" and an "expert in cyber counterintelligence" couldn't find anything. It makes me wonder if that other whistleblower, whose name rhymes with "bizarre," fabricated his tale about reverse engineering alien aircraft.

Snowden mentions that information on ETs may still be hidden, but then again, maybe the whole UFO conspiracy is just a smokescreen, in order to hide secret military technology...or then again, perhaps "the truth is out there."

In the book, you know, I talk about aliens and chemtrails and things like that and the fact that there's no evidence for that. I went looking on the network, right? Uh, and I know Joe, I know you want there to be aliens, uh, I know Neil deGrasse Tyson badly wants there to be aliens, and there probably are, right, but the idea that we're hiding them, if we are hiding them...I had ridiculous access to the networks of the NSA, the CIA, the military, all these groups. Umm, I couldn't find anything, right...so if it's hidden and it could be hidden, it's hidden really damn well, even for people who are on the inside. Um, but the main thing is conspiracy theories, right? Everyboidy wants to believe in conspiracy theories because it helps life make sense.

Joe "go with the flow" rogan has never seemed all that trustworthy to me.

He likes to surf on that wave edge between two worlds, I've heard him say some pretty ignorant # from time to time.

Is either one of them to be trusted, completely, when it comes to absolute facts or knowledge? or are both of them still "controlled" by some boundries either for their own sake or the sake of those they hold dear.

I know a lot of people love joe, but i've never warmed up to his positions, even the eternal fence sitter tim pool seemed "extreme" when he talked to joe.

It screams controlled opposition to me.

Or that is the information in his dead mans switch and he knows all about them. I figured he would of been kidnapped or taken out by now.

Maybe we assume that our governments know a lot about them when it's probably equivalent to an ant knowing what an elephant is up to.

Snowden didn't even have an undergraduate degree when all this went down. I'm not even sure how he even qualified for the job at the CIA with IT. Probably took his brief military career and disability to edge somebody out since Federal employees get points for military and disabilities. I still don't understand what he actually revealed that was so mind blowing.

Wow yeah they gonna keep secrets out in the plain view and let an average pleb to stare at them

This means absolutely nothing. Snowden is not omniscient. To believe he "got everywhere" in the NSA files is naive at best.

I'm sure whatever is known is compartmentalized away from everything else. I doubt it's anywhere online. Probably stored on floppy disks in a safe somewhere..

Exactly what I was thinking. Snowden was a peon working in the dicpic department. Zero chance he had access to high level stuff. Now the question is, does he really think he had access to everything, or is he saying this for some other reason?

Mr. Snowden wrote this in a book that is selling on Amazon.

That alone tells me everything I need to know.

ET information would not be accessible through government computer networks. I know the NSA good. But I imagine military control networks are heavily fire-walled even from NSA. As far as the military is concerned the NSA would be considered the enemy with regards to military secrets.

The ET information may even only exist within an isolated network with no connectivity to the outside.

I think Rogan is great. He's really good at interviewing people. He asks really great questions and follow ups. What does Rogan being "trustworthy" have to do with anything?

I guess if it doesn't come from Faux News then it's not authoritative enough.

IMO most important thing to learn is if the government knows for sure that intelligent life (not spores) exists, or did exist, beyond Earth.

FAR more important in my eyes was his interview with Cmdr. David Fravor, you can hear from the actual pilot talk about that tic-tac ufo incident. In full detail of what happened, what was said, etc. Really fascinating interview.

I tried listening to Snowden, but my god he waffles on a bit filling in stuff that is not important to the discussion at all. Shame because he really deserved better treatment than he got.

Meh, they must've cleaned house a bit after the Gary McKinnon oopsie... or Snowden likes breathing.

Besides, there probably isn't overt alien contact yet...

just other dimensions, suppressed ancient high tech and breakaway civs, of course!

Well of course he wouldn't have that info cuz his line of work would have nothing to do with such things. Let's say UFO and aliens are real and the US gov't has been involved for decades, that would be, as we all know, compartmentalized.

The more interesting Joe Rogan podcast about such things was when he had a retired Air Force jet pilot on talking about his one encounter with a UFO and the famous video that came from it.

Yeah, he's living in Russia cuz the US Gov't will put him jail forever. So he makes money doing appearances and now a book. What is wrong with that? Otherwise, I guess he COULD get an IT job in Russia and wing it not knowing Russian but under a Trump administration, Snowden ain't coming home anytime soon.

Yeah that was a great story the CMD told and I was very pleased with it. Here's an experienced fighter pilot talking about this flying tic tac moving in such ways that he knows he hasn't seen before, heard of before, and as far as he knows technology doesn't exist. Then he talked about his fellow fighter pilots all over the world having very similar experiences with UFO's of all the shapes we've become familiar with. I found it fascinating that he said the footage of the UFO wasn't a big deal as far as classification. It was classified Secret because that's standard protocol but it just went on their footage hard drive where all footage is stored. No men in black came to talk to him about it. The debrief directly afterwards he describes as uncomfortable receiving snickers and jeers.

Then he was surprised to learn someone leaked onto the internet and it was on YouTube for years before YouTube removed after it began making its rounds with the Global media, namely the NYT. Fascinating interview. What's sad is he had Dan Akroyd on like a week earlier and kept shutting down all of Dan's UFO stories and whatnot. Almost to the point where he continued to interrupt Dan to play the cynic. It was annoying the hell outta me. But when this Air Force pilot was on we saw a completely different Joe.

I have a love/hate relationship with Joe Rogan and his podcast.

It means nothing he couldn't find something on aliens. I am not sure what people think he had access to. His access was probably very specific. Perhaps wide (as he snagged a lot of materials on projects), but that still doesn't mean much. Servers that held information on government programs and initiatives probably did not hold secret information on alien / UFO visitation. Unless he was hacking into other systems (and I never got that idea from all he said), he simply wasn't on the server holding that data. I doubt he had access into Area 51 data.. or probably honestly the majority of other secret materials.

I deal with network security on a daily basis - and access to particular systems really doesn't mean much. His data was fairly narrow to be honest, and I imagine there is a laughable amount of data he did not access, that would leave our country in shock if we actually knew.
