Too late? What are you talking about. Impeachment is not a criminal trial and requires less evidence. You keep making these strange comments with no basis in facts.

What are armed citizens going to do when they are the ones supporting the government take over?

So now we have the entire government (or at least 2/3 of it) and the entire citizenship wanting Trump as a dictator, and you think somehow you have not ventured into crazy land?

Why not give Trump godlike powers, immortality, and mind control. If you are going to get into scifi/fantasy go all in.

Obama is out of office, so he's fair game. And it could happen within the next couple of years. (Unless Michelle is President)

Why would impeachment matter when a President could lock up or otherwise get rid of the people in Congress and not be held legally accountable for any of it?

Impeachment is only an option as long as there are people who can impeach a President. If the President faces no legal repercussions for getting rid of those people, then what is the power of impeachment?

You're seriously telling me there isn't a large group of citizens and government that wouldn't support him 100% in locking up his political rivals and becoming President for life?

It's not me who's living in fantasy world.

I did, and I explained them to you. Maybe you can actually respond to what I said rather than a 'yes they are' post.

Stop supporting stupid. If ALL the people and ALL the government wanted Trump as a dictator they would simply legally change the laws and make him one.

So we shouldn't worry about something like that until it happens? Even though people are arguing in a court of law for that very thing to be possible?

Flawless logic.

You should not worry about stupid stuff like magic boomerangs appearing out of the blue and killing off the dolphins.

If ever we are in a world where ALL the people and ALL the government wants a dictator then it will happen, legally.

Reading your comments on this thread has really opened my eyes to something. There is a big portion of society that actually believes in America as this concrete, immovable thing. Without realizing that view is at complete odds with reality.

Our entire government up to this point is based on nothing more than the President acting in good faith. That's it. Nothing more. By openly breaking laws and not being held accountable Donald Trump and Republicans have exposed these flaws in our system. Yet people such as yourself cling to this outdated belief in the stability of America.

What we know as America can vanish overnight. I just hope everyone else isn't as late to wake up as you are.

Do you think that all the people in germany wanted Hitler as a dictator when he rose far too high in power? Or more recently, putin? No, they slowly eroded the system till no one, no segment of government was strong enough to prevent it.

Why is this such an unfounded fear to people who believe that Islam is gonna get strong enough to install sharia laws... so much so by the way that they actually work to undermine the constitutional protections and laws that would prevent such a thing trying to ensure that it's a Christian based form of theocracy that wins that race??

Is hillary clinton a criminal

when this was raised in 2016 so many demcrats SCREAMED she was not convicted.

Now that President Trump is in office, he is a criminal.

gotta love double standards. but at least is "a" standard.

what has President Trump been convicted of since taking the white house??

how many hours Should the President have to devote daily to court apperances??

everyone keeps saying the president of the United States in not above "the" law.

and everyone who says this is talking about different laws then what apply.

that is true for the Congress and the Senate as well. all 3 are above the laws we the "peope of the united states" live by daily.

seem quite a few on here do not know this FACT.

does anyone need proof??

any senator or Congress person can speed thru washington DC steets to make a vote call and not get a ticket.

can any of you people speed to your workplace with out getting a ticket?

yet the Democrats lie and say "no one is above the law"

Knowing full well that is a blatant lie!

the laws for the Politicians are different then that of the common man.

the common man usually doesn't know the law.

Putin is innocent and Joe Biden, the Dems and Ukrainian officials are the one who interfered in the 2016 election.

by Jove!, I think you FINALLY understand. Keep working things out like that and you will be alright, in time.

Let's say a guy got into office and it turned out he was a homicidal maniac.. and he was leaving behind him a trail of bodies along with a bunch of witnesses all identifying him as the murderer across multiple states.

Then you impeach him. Why is that so difficult to understand?

How would you draw up any articles of impeachment without being allowed to investigate and gather evidence of Presidential wrongdoing?

Eyewitness? To bad, you're not allowed to investigate by interviewing them.
Fingerprints on a weapon? To bad, can't investigate and subpoena prints.
DNA evidence? To bad, can't investigate and subpoena blood or hair samples.

This is about the President's lawyers making a legal argument that a President is immune from investigation.

easy answer it would be voted on, why is this so hard to understand??

didn't the Democrats and the left say Hillary won by 3 million votes??

Now voting is bad??

define "consistency"

Please.

So, we would leave a murderer in office, protected from any legal ramifications for up to four years?,
