www.dailymail.co.uk...

A woman claims she discovered she had breast cancer after she had a picture taken by a thermal imaging camera at a tourist attraction.
But Ms Gill's picture showed a yellow-coloured 'hot spot' on her left breast, and no-one else in the thermal imaging room had the same patch.

So so many questions about this single story. From what I've read thermal imaging can detect breast cancer, it's just not as accurate as a mammogram.
Well i'd like to know how much of a difference is there. It appears thermal imagine is a hell of a lot cheaper and could be done almost anywhere.
I also wonder how much safer is thermal imagine than a mammogram. Maybe it could be used as a first line of defense.

Question number two... If that kind of cancer can be seen because of heat, can it be cured with coldness? Sounds simple and crazy.

If the body is fighting a localized infection, that area of the body will run warmer than the rest of your body.
The same should apply to a tumor. Cooling it off won't change a thing.

I also read this article:

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...

Temperature Matters! And Why it Should Matter to Tumor Immunologists

In fact, temperature is still rarely considered as a critical variable in experimental immunology. We suggest that more attention should be directed to the role of temperature in the regulation of the immune response and that thermal therapy should be tested in conjunction with immunotherapy as a multi-functional adjuvant that modulates the dynamics of the tumor microenvironment.

Growing up in an Asian environment, all sickness was linked to temperature in some manner, yin/yang.
My mom would almost kill me if I didn't wear socks. Many old school Asians believe no socks = infertility later on.. maybe there is something to that.

Totally safe, vs the long term danger of accumulated radiation exposure over time.

Yeah, makes total sense.
My cheap flir for my cellphone is stupid accurate, like a 100th of a degree.
I bet it is nearly worthless if the tumor is not near the surface though.
They may be backwards on the fact that it's a hot spot, being yellow.

I mean, thermal is safer than using a cellphone.
It doesn't broadcast anything, it's entirely passive.

So the sock thing, did all our ancestors wear socks

Maybe it’s a myth that given a little thought.

Guess it’s a bit like wearing a jumper or catching a cold?
