I have no idea what you are talking about.
Taylor has not been the Ambassador to Ukraine since 2009. This is not in dispute.

Me: Taylor is also falsely being represented as our ambassador to ukraine.

You: This is a flat out lie. Unless you can show otherwise.

Yes.

Now show me where Taylor is being represented as our ambassador to Ukraine. His statement to Congress doesn't say that, so who is?

Oh, I see. haha, fair enough question.

It's the fake news media. They're continually referring to him as the ambassador to ukraine. Not former ambassador, not his current title, just ambassador to ukraine.

Nice thread, almost forgot the topic !!

New phage would talk nonsense for years but eventually you go to prison because nonsense only wastes time

Old phage would have you free before opening statements.

Oh I know both... He's always had a special place in my heart, his finicky ways are as the tree stump in my garden that I oft stub my toe on, but refuse to remove, for the memory of that stubborn tree must remain. part of the charm.

but one thing is true, even when there is no argument, really, or even one that is merely contrarian, there is always one!!

And lest we forget, orange man honk reeee, as always !!

now I too must be off, galloping madly under celestial balloons, flailing my hooves and wafting ever slowly away towards distant stars... hi ho silver, up up and away !!

I see "former." I see "served as." I see "acting."

Which of these is incorrect?

lol yep. And unless he was given a lifetime recognition by the president and senate that is an improper use of the title. He is NOT an ambassador and it's NOT a title you get to keep (unless granted by president and senate specifically for you).

Former and served as are correct. Acting is incorrect. We don't have acting ambassadors or interim ambassadors.

.."...but ...but it says 'former' on page 3 paragraph 6"
Lol that is all

Chargé d'affaires would be the correct terminology, but the same role as acting ambassador and French sucks.
Which is what Taylor stated in his testimony.

On May 28 of this year, I met with Secretary Mike Pompeo who asked me to return to Kyiv to lead our embassy in Ukraine.
You think he's lying about that?

I returned to Kyiv on June 17, carrying the original copy of a letter President Trump signed the day after I met with the Secretary.
Another lie?

I guess Carter shouldn't be called president any more.

For current employees, long-standing custom and practice, however, has established a clear tradition in the Department and in the Foreign Service that persons who have served as ambassador after Senate confirmation may continue to use the title after such service in appropriate communications with others, may be referred to in communications and conversations by the title of Ambassador, and may be introduced to public audiences by the title.

Correct, he shouldn't. We only have one president at a time. He is president Donald John Trump.

No one, as yet, has been charged in this case.

But the investigation continues.

Yes an investigation by Adam Schiff a man linked to Ed buck who shoots up black gay homeless men with so much meth it kills them. Clearly Adams morally and ethically on the right path

No.

I disagree that a former president (even Trump) does not deserve the honorific after leaving office. Not sure how applies to one who may have been removed from office.

I would use that term for a judge, even though Omarosa applied it to herself.

In any case, your OP is off base. "Quid pro quo" is not relevant.
