That was simply fantastic! And more so that *you* wrote it yourself..I'm not an all out Go America girl anymore, but what you've written has atleast made me remember where I am and where I come from and the things we have to endure and deal with..

I think it's understanding that all of us can sometimes relate to atleast once in our lifetimes..I'm saving this if that's ok with you, so that when I get all mad again at America, I can read it and see once again that it's not our country, it's the people we need to think of...the ones who DO hold such great honour..and even they can feel bitter at times-it's normal..

Was your "summer-camp level, high-school, patriotic crap" a true gauge for measuring "Patriotism" or true American Patriotism? Seems to me, you had a pre-existing opinion of American patriotism prior to "summer-camp" and that "summer-camp" just furthered that opinion more.

My personal opinion.....thas my opinion........you should have NOT commented to this particular thread! This thread was obviously written for those who felt the same. And your comment was to express......what........your disdain for American patriotic feelings?!?

Yes Zero.....Canada is beautiful and a quite lovely place...and tends to remain somewhat nuetral in the affairs of America. Your correct, we ALL see things differently and not all americans are stereotypical. Patriotism is viewed likewise.
