Isn't it interesting that their banner changed from RACIST.watch to TRUMP.watch?

No one wants to seem to comment on that.

This is probably their backup plan. Opened shortly after their first domain.

whois.domaintools.com...

Good catch.

What is interesting is that Dynadot is a Website Creation, registration and auction site.

I went to it and was searching for auction records and the site just went down for maintenance.

Things that make you go hmmmm.

Dynadot.com

Our custom written, state-of-the-art domain and hosting software is stable, fast, and easy to use.

Digging a little deeper, I was interested in the top level domain registrar, which turns out to be one, "Binky Moon LLC," which is in itself a shell company owned by, "Donuts, Inc."

refer: whois.nic.watch

domain: WATCH

organisation: Binky Moon, LLC
address: Donuts Inc.
address: 5808 Lake Washington Blvd NE, Suite 300
address: Kirkland, WA 98033
address: United States

IANA whois search

Looking further, I found an interesting blog post:

What I saw there alarmed me: a ton of random-seeming new TLDs (top-level domains) and a bunch of creepy-sounding sponsoring companies with names like

Half Oaks, LLC
Knob Town, LLC
June Maple, LLC
Atomic Madison, LLC

...

and discovered that they were all really one company: Donuts, Inc.

Why would they register several hundred shell companies, each one applying for one new TLD, rather than being honest and doing it as Donuts, Inc?

Donuts, Inc: a creepy company

There are a few more interesting points raised by the above linked blog post, showing that some of the domains were transferred while others weren't and that monies were exchanged in some of those transactions but that what ended up happening was that Donuts, Inc. once more became the parent company of other shell companies.

In the past when we see shell companies being held by other shell companies what we've found is that oftentimes there are intelligence agencies or their agents involved. Not saying that's what this is, but there does appear to be some shadiness going on here even above the level of the website itself.

That's obvious from the domain data. It is not who is using the domain.

That is who is in charge of the TLD "watch".

I know that, but I also presumed the owners of the website in question would have chosen the TLD for a particular reason along with registering through an anonymizing company, and so I wanted to dig a little in that direction.

Privacy can be added to any domain, it doesn't matter who it is register through.

A watch domain can be registered through godaddy and many others.

if you broke it then you can copy the code and show us right?

Copy the code? What code? There's no code involved. Simply understand http request.

You can try experimenting on your own by sending various CURL request to their internal api.

on map load an ajax request hits their backend

That implies code, at least JS ...

But nothing related to how to get their box to throw errors.

What does this have to do with voter suppression?

You can use this site to dox people that voted and donated the way you don't like, then go beat them up for it.

That could scare some people into not voting again. Thus, voter suppression.

The irony of all of this is politics and racism are one in the same. So this is all hypocritical to me. judging people because they are Blue or Red or Left or Right is no different than judging someone based on their skin color.

Just replace Blue and Red with black and white and all of a sudden it sounds likes racism.

This is why I don't bother with politics. Just a bunch of fingers pointing, name calling and drama.

I think its dangerous to have personal information available to those who would seek to harass or worse.

The ip address, 3.19.135.130, is registered in Seattle, Washington. The contact phone number, 1-650-262-0100, is registered to the San Francisco Bay area at Dynadot.

It seems the person(s) who set up this site are worried about privacy since all other personal information was redacted. They were nice enough to include an email though, abuse@dynadot.com.

Dynadot is an ICANN registered domain name company. It is registered in San Mateo, CA, but has multiple offices in China and one in Canada.

Hypocrites.

How about just the site specifically calling private citizens with every expectation of privacy “racists ” with absolutely no disclaimer to avoid litigation...

That’s slander.. they might could skate if they said “wanna see those who MIGHT BE racist.. but they did not..

Even more proof it was not a real organization with oversight..

Yea a very obvious reason...

It was made by conservatives, for conservative consumption so they had no way to tie it to a legit liberal organization..

And for damn sure we’re not gonna let it go back to them..

Real political organization want donations.
