I think it would be more effective if our federal government sued CNN. That network is an enemy to America and Americans.

They are critical of aTrump, but what’s next?

Silencing me or my comments on the communist Warren?

Just ban your tv shows/movies reviews.

I'm going to disagree.

1st Amendment, President Trump.

Get over it.

CNN may suck, but they have that right to suck all they want. In a free society, we must occasionally suffer the onslaught of slings and arrows. . . .

I'm going to side against Trump on this one. This is a road that should not be gone down. Although I suppose it's just to gin up his base and not really something that will happen. At least I hope not.

Obama went down the road of trying to imprison a reporter, James Rosen for reporting on leaks. Even harassed his family. Tried to silence whistleblower's after promising transparency. Remember when even the press that rabidly supported him, turned on him and rightfully so.

Trump needs to drop this one and move on. Of course CNN is biased and of course they are trying to influence an election with propaganda, but it's legal for them to do so.

They should have to register as a political action committee at the very least, instead of being recognized as a media outlet/publisher.

Btw: id you mean to use a proper noun, Merritt, instead of merit, as if there is hidden meaning?

I can see DB’s point. Leave the anti-first amendment talk to the Democrats and Leftists. However, you can see that CNN’s fake news has an effect on people right here on ATS. We get 4-5 threads a day started from CNN fake news reports. It’s damaging when people with weak minds start believing the bullcrap.

I’ll counter with “I’m gonna be re-elected by my campaign and CNN is gonna pay for it.” — probable Trump rally cry for 2020

Hmmm You're right. I change my answer. He's suing CNN on publicity to get more publicity.

Brilliant!

Why bother ?
The more they jeep up the falsehoods , the more their ratings and revenue falls .
US folks don't want bullsh__ like that , and CNN just keeps going down that same road.
When Sean Hannity draws more viewership than the entire CNN lineup , there is a problem at CNN.
A huge problem .

lol, maybe CNN should counter sue the Trump campaign for constantly and relentlessly claiming CNN is 'fake news'.

I think MSNBC (when they aren't raping interns) should counter-sue to claim that they are just as fake as CNN.

I agree, but I also think that a "News Organization" should focus on news and not personal attacks against a person/place/thing.

Another example of this type of dualistic problem: KING5.com While I'm glad that this Atomwaffen member was busted, I strongly disagree with the use of the "Red-Flag" laws to do it, when the Feds could have just gotten a warrant for the arrest if the state was more willing to work with the Feds. It's kind of like a person getting killed in a robbery at their corner market only to find out that the market owner was also peddling child porn. Was the killing right? No, but neither was the discovered crime either.

Trump going after CNN is the same type of issue. I agree that something should be done, but I don't think attacking their 1-A is the way to do it.

My idea (and yes I suggested this to my local Senator who sent me a form letter saying thanks for nothing) was to give News channels a tax break, but then also hold them to broadcasting mostly news and remove the massive commentary they all seem to harbor. I think forcing CNN to reclassify themselves as a commentary channel rather than a news outlet would seem to fix the issue without hurting anyone's 1-A rights.

We've had issues with "Yellow Journalism" since Guttenburg invented the printing press.

I can't go along with Trump on this.

1st Amendment.

Totally agree, but something must be done with these "News Organizations" pushing nothing more then rotting propaganda. Limiting their 1-A isn't the way to do it.

They will sue if CNN doesn't cut out their BS

Wait. What? This is the Don tweeting?

No. Yes. D'oh! Must be a friday.

Is he reading Hitler again? Cool. And they say I'm a fascist for calling him a fascist. Maybe we do have more in common than bad hair after all?

How presidential is that, Xün?
