Mattis is so full of crap!! He constantly says he hates war and that we should not be there but then comes out and criticizes Trump for pulling out when our job was done? He is obviously a deep state stooge.

He is the same boneheaded jackass that said he didn't think it was legal for our own troops to defend our border so he sent them down there without their dam rifles. That is all it took from me to see he was a paid Socialist lackey.

He seriously thinks he is great for telling the Marine general, the one that could not figure out how to get his bogged down Marines across a partially blown bridge he was relieved of command, all because 3dr Army had beaten his Marines to Baghdad by days and showed him up at every turn. Somehow everyone kissed his butt for standing in the line of fire like an idiot lol. Give me a break.

Likened to this:

Trump: We need to build a wall.
Dems: WE DON'T NEED A WALL, RACIST!

Trump: Ok, we won't build a wall then.
Dems: BUT WE NEED A WALL, YOU UNAMERICAN TRAITOR!

Trump: Do you want a wall or not?
Dems: YOU DON'T DARE QUESTION US! IMPEACH 45!

OMG - this post literally made me laugh out loud!

Thank you!!

I don't focus on people...people come and go. Its systems that are intended to secure the future. And we have crippled the system by allowing the IC to run propaganda against the People.

I might be a little dense tonight, but can you tell what "the IC" is?

Thanks.

It is hard for a sane person to respect that.

I wouldn't call Mattis a sane person, not even Obama trusted that warhawk.

Leon Panetta said Mattis lacked "the maturity to look at all of the options that a president should look at in order to make the right decisions".

So what? Mattis was NOT the president. He was Sec'y of Defense.

Remember?

So then, if Mattis is so overrated and outdated, why did Trump give him the job in the first place? Why were all of Trump's supporters so happy about his appointment?

I thought Trump only hired the best people.

Trump supporters are blissfully unaware that by hiring the best people he means the people that agree with him and do as he says unconditionally.

That's a complete roasting? Man, you guys are desperate for a win. He took a few pokes. That's about it. Just like trump did. So I guess unless you consider trump saying mattis was overrated as a complete roasting, then this wasn't either...

Trump calls Mattis the most overrated general in the world, it’s fine.

Mattis agrees and he’s a traitor.

Can’t even make this stuff up

Yeah. Trump can say anything he wishes about HIS TROOPS - and they have to take it.

Even a General has to follow protocol - and Woopie-Pie Mattis didn't.

Trump is his Chief Commander.

Suck it up, shut up and close your pie hole!

Mattis is a former General, he retired from the military back in 2013. He also is no longer part of the government as he left his Secretary of Defense role.

He knows. Some people are just so desperate to crown Trump that every once in a while they let it slip out and either ignore the follow up questions entirely or try to turn it in to something else.

You do know that dinosaur Mattis gets paid for speaking engagements right?? He has to play doggy sit and doggy rollover to get paid. So what pays the money whores now????? Bashing Trump. So I would take their words with not a grain, but with a ton of salt. I wish guys like him and the other politicians who can’t leave the limelight would just disappear into retirement. They have pillaged and raped the system. Isn’t that enough for them ??? What more do they want???
They should take a page out of BO’s book and STFU. Enjoy their hard earned stolen taxpayer money and bribes and go on endless vacations and just disappear. reply to: Xcalibur254

Even Trump makes mistakes. Good thing he corrects his mistakes quickly. Mattis was never a good choice and his true colors eventually came out. On a side note, I wish there was a way to give negative stars to posts........😜 a reply to: Xcalibur254

It definitely seems like Trump's move in Syria has started costing him support within the military

Because the enlisted ranks want to go to Syria? And their families see sending them to Syria as a justifiable sacrifice?

the military teaches loyalty above all else. this means not throwing your allies, many of whom fought and died beside you, to the turkeys. when given a choice of leaving an ally, or staying and helping, most will choose to stay and help.

It's a hard day for the military.

But I think in the long run, these events are the best path to the Kurds getting their nation. Turkey needs to lose ground politically, so it won't have the standing to oppose a formal announcement of Kurdistan later.

The problem with military guys right now is they don't get enough training in diplomacy and politics.

To quote Von Clausewitz: "War is the continuation of politics by other means". This means a person untrained in politics actually doesn't understand war.

The reason our wars have been going so badly for us is that we have been giving our military leadership the WRONG TRAINING.

It takes a politician to end a war. And more particularly: only someone trained or skilled in politics can end a war WITH THE OUTCOME YOU WANT.

That is precisely the best qualification for a man with a plan.

Sometimes the best subordinates are indeed the ones who can simply do what they're told. Who don't need to know the big picture.

When you are bluffing at cards, the last thing you want is your subordinates looking over your shoulder, so your opponent can look at their face and deduce what cards you are holding.

Not it isn't. The best plan for any successful leader in whatever category you choose is the ability to delegate. Micro-managing is always the wrong strategy.

My take is we pull all of our military back, close our borders, and take care of our own issues. Let the UN be the world police. Yes I am prior military.
And let the UN do it without our money too! The UN is not about keeping the peace, it is about controlling the worlds resources for the rich and powerful and for instituting a socialist world government( one which tells us we cannot eat beef because if Climate Change). The world govt of the UN is the New World Order.
And thank you for your post.

Loyalty to your own country comes first! This bs about taking care of the world first is not what General Washington was about. Who are our allies anymore? The world is used to getting money from us. The more socialist The world gets, the less of an ally it becomes.

IC generally refers to the Intelligence Community.

MIC refers to the Military-Industrial Complex.

Obama pulls our military men from Iraq and causes a vacuum and all is just fine with the Liberals, Trump does the exact same thing in Syria, with far less men, and he's a monster. We all kow how Liberals work by now. Hypocrisy Is your calling card. Despite a few people that bash Trump (not like this roast is anything new, the Libtards have been doing it for nearly 3 years now and still keep getting their a$$es handed to them) Trump will still win in 2020. I'm not sure if you've noticed how fast these Liberal smear campaigns drop to the bottom of the ATS front page, but usually they don't remain more than a day. This is just more of an attempt to make Trump look bad and it won't work. Maybe for the few Democrats that are left, but you're preaching to the choir there I'm sure. As you Liberals "try" to smear Trump, the janitor is cleaning up the Liberal tears with a mop from all the times he's single handedly whipped your entire party. Again, and again and again. That must be incredibly embarrassing, for one man to keep giving wedgies to the entire Dem party, as well as their crooked alphabet security organizations.

And George Washington was 100% wrong in trying to be an isolationist. He had some good ideas, but this was not one of them and even if it were a good idea back then, global deals are much more important today as the world is far more interconnected.

It wasn't just George Washington. An entire crew of men isolated America from Europe and for good reason. They were controlling them from abroad and overtaxing them, along with other abuses that removed basic freedoms from The People. They thought this though well and decided that we didn't need another country telling us what we can and can't do. They are not our mothers or fathers.

We can be connect to the whole world by our electronic devices just fine, and we can even trasvel to those places whenever we want. We don't need the entire globe under one leader. THAT is a horrible idea. Especially when Power and money corrupts and 99.99% of the politicians from the past have taught, is that they always go corrupt.

It's the same concept with your home, would you want everyone in the world living under one roof? Haowe about everyone in your neigborhood living in your home with you? It's a good thing to have less Global Affairs mingling in your business. I certainly don't want a Government from Europe telling me what I can and can't do, when they don't even live in the US.

Would you like America to be the Master of the entire world? The Global Leader? How about someone from China? The problem with having a one world government is that we are most assuredly going to get some diaboical jerk that...instead of abusing his own country like we see many doing today...he would abuse the entire world. That's a bad idea. Just because the new social wave of Gloabalism is popular in the media...it doesnt make it a good idea.
