" The left definitely wants to "come after your guns". The left wants to regulate guns that can fire 100 rounds per minute with huge clips "

Better go Read the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution Again Mr. " Big Head " , To Some People it seems Vague , but to Others a Literal Unlimited Right .

WHAT?!?!

there are a laundry list of senators and even presidents shot..

Happens 2-3 times a decade ATLEAST..

You haven't realized that they have changed the rules of how things are interpretted lately I guess. Yes, there have been other instances which they will use as supporting precedence to accomplish taking away our guns if we do not legally stop them.

Unfortunately, in reality, it's not.
Some don't play well with reality here, I get that.

Ummmmmm.....they didn't.

So in your book shaking their heads up and down in agreement applauding and cheering is not agreeing with him?

No, not talking about taking your rights.
Don't think it would be bloody, lots of basement gangsters here.

Maybe you don't understand the constitution. It doesn't give us rights. It denies the government from taking them.
And yes it would be bloody. No basement gangster BS. I am old and it is a hill worth dying on.
A wise founder of my country once wrote. "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure,”

Not the way I would implement it (think Australia), but the it would make make for a safer society, don't you agree

We are not an Island nor do we emulate Australia. Wasn't it recent that they had some nut running around blasting people with a shotgun? They gave up their freedom for the illusion of safety now they have neither.

Can't count how many times I've heard leftists here and in real life say they won't come for your guns...

Don't understand that level of denial, but here is Beto full on saying they he wants to go door to door.

Red flag laws are just the slippery slope beginning of what they want to do:

I'm a native NY'er but moved to VA in 2014 for work.

I had never owned a handgun before - although I did have an old Mossberg .22 rifle for target shooting - which I actually did twice I think.

In any event, when I decided to move back to NY, about 2 weeks from actually doing so, I saw a really nice S&W 9mm in a pawn shop and on a whim decided to buy it.

I packed the gun in its case - unloaded - and went to the airport. It wasn't very difficult to take the gun on the plane with me as I told officials at the airport that I had it, and handed it over for them to safely stow during the flight. Upon arriving in NY, I told the gate agent that I was waiting for my firearm and they were very courteous as they retrieved it and gave it to me. One of the agents said I'd probably have some hassles with keeping the gun in NY.

Now, keep in mind that the laws regarding the purchase of handguns in VA is that they do run a brief background check to ensure you've never been convicted of a felony before purchase. I have no felony convictions so there were no issues there and in my case the background check took all of 10 minutes. Once that was done, I paid for the gun took the bag containing it and left the store.

In NY, it turns out there were some forms to fill out but I was able to keep my gun during the process. Since I had not yet officially moved out of VA at that point, it was processed as an out-of-state visitor traveling with a gun. After about a month I received my "approval" - with no time limitations on my stay - and that was that.

You gotta love the "full faith & credit" part of the constitution that says that each state should make every effort to enforce and/or abide by the laws of the other states.

The Constitution *works*.

I am very grateful to have been born and continue to live in this country.

So many people have no idea how good we have it here.

To them I say - shut up, contribute and be grateful you are a citizen of the USA.

You are probably right on both accounts, but there is no choice. The ruling class is also pushing hard to disarm us.

A blind man can see we are headed for some rough times unless there is a major breakthrough in energy or space colonization. The Trump administration is hemorrhaging money like there is a recession and it is still the Obama era. Neither side is doing anything to fix the problem. Neither side will even talk about it. The rich see it coming and many are buying up land in New Zeland and building bunkers. You know it is bad when you see them preparing to bug out.

When it comes if it comes I will be armed.

I support the second amendment, but there are some people who shouldn't be carrying, and both the left and right need to get together to make sure that the right people are effected, and the honest gun owners aren't.

Yep That's pretty much about right, the writing is on the wall .

It's a shame the rich haven't learned from history, they will be pulled out of those bunkers and taken care of French revolution style, personally I think that money would be better spent trying to negate the coming turmoil.

The idea to confiscate is so idiotic and ignorant.

In most states you can make face-to-face transfers of long-arms; shotguns, rifles (including spooky black rifles) and there is no need for registration or documentation.

"Sir, we see you purchased an AR platform rifle in 2014. We're going to have to take that."

"Well I sold it to Joe Herpdaderp the next county over and don't have his number anymore. Sorry."

People need to understand what they're arguing. That Ben Franklin quote that's something like: "It's better to remain silent and appear an idiot, than open your mouth and remove all doubt." Is applicable here.

I have learned on youtube that many gun owners in the usa give their weapons names and talk to them and some making love with rifles and so on, is that true? I wonder if its possible to marry a gun in america.

Yes my head is bigger than yours. And my brain may be smarter too. Contrary to the way you read my post, I was not advocating gun control. Some people think the National Firearms Act of 1934 is now un-Constitutional after the Supreme Court ruling of District of Columbia v. Heller. The thing is the District of Columbia v. Heller ruling is a diversion from past rulings and interpretations. Just like Roe Vs Wade, a 5-4 ruling is not exactly unanimous. But the Supreme court has ruled.

You chose to make an ad hominem attack on me instead of focusing on what I was asking. Is there a line and what is the line for allowing certain types of weapons to be legal given DoC v. Heller ruling. I imagine if Stinger Missiles were legal it would constitute a grave threat to the public as anarchists use these weapons to shoot down jets.

Is there a line? If yes, where is it and how is it defined?

Yes, it's bad and the Constitution said so.

Yes, they. Probably you included.

BWAHAHAHA, so where do they flip the “change the interpretation “ switch?!?!

The only thing TPTB have done is convinced the uneducated that words that are neither inherently good or evil, are Inherently evil.

Globalism: just means you are planning on a global scale.. it has nothing to do with the Illuminati lol..

Rightwing= literally means “the establishment “.. lol literally.

Feminist = someone who wants equality between men and women.. the man hating section is not the mainstream feminist and never has been..

Socialism = just means the government runs that sector of society.. such as fire, the military or police..

And there are many more buzzwords they have used to train the sheeple into doing what they want..

What?!?!

There has never been a ban proposed that did not come with a grandfather clause.. meaning there is no “comming to take them”.. ever..

Full auto had a grandfather clause..

The first assault rifle ban had one too..

So really the assault rifle ban would do is require a license to get a newly manufactured gun.. the old ones are still perfectly legal to buy, sell or trade..

Hmmm...

It is almost (Exactly lol) like conservatives know they will lose if they debate the actual policy proposed so instead shift the debate to something no one wants..

To those saying law enforcement won't do it, I offer you images of them doing it during Katrina:

I've seen that debate here on ATS before. So many people believe the military won't follow an unlawful order ... but they WILL.

During Katrina they stayed well away from neighbors who banded together. Probably won't when it happens next time. Of course, it'll be game on too.

Wonder what it's going to be like living without the power grid. LMAO
