Yes he did campaign on it...While knowing the Democrats will spend us into bankruptcy, Trump figured the Repubs in Congress were being honest when they claimed they wanted to reduce the deficit...But he found out they like to spend our money just like the Democrat do...

Honestly, there is some validity to your statement.

That being said, if you look in OP, Trump was criticizing the last admin (rightfully so), and yet as it stands, this admin is on track to have comparable debt added to the deficit should the trends keep up and Trump get another term.

People used the excuse that Obama inherited a great deal of problems, but the fact is, he knew what he was getting himself into, and he wanted the position.

While Trump has made efforts on some fronts to address this, many of which I agree with, he still isn't addressing spending enough while at the same time cutting taxes primarily from the most wealthy. While I'm all for tax cuts, it needs to be in conjunction with spending cuts or it increases debt... The same as if you took a lower paying job and bought a more expensive house.

Now, Trump still has time and his priorities might be to tackle other things first... I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and abstain from doom porn. But that doesn't mean he gets a pass from criticism. He's been critical of the last admin and claimed all of this would be one of his major policies... That's why I voted for him. So if he's one of the biggest critics of the government before he took the role, he and his loyalists need to refrain from getting their ass's chapped when some of it comes back his way.

Speaking of congress, while it was Republican controlled they did NOTHING to reverse Obamacare which is pretty much what most of them promised to do. This is something that affects many people in a very bad way and yet they did nothing. If they get a majority again in 2020 and do nothing about it I will just quit voting period because it is obvious most of these creatures are having their own pockets lined by insurance companies.

And Trump has been the only person so far to do anything about Obama care. He and a couple of judges wherever they were.
