California becomes first state to ban fur production and sales; animals also barred from circuses

I'm not a big fur proponent, I think it's ugly, but is this law really needed?
This does not apply to leather, which I find hilarious. But just you wait, leather is next.
Bye bye soft car seat, or office chairs!

Of course it does not apply to politicians plush leather airplane seats with mink pillows & blankets.

It appears everything is Illegal in California except illegal aliens!

What? Why?

Is it because its ecological and is easily recycled?

I mean i understand the part about the circus animals but furs in general..

What happens when a zoo animal dies? dissolve its illegal remains in acid?
When they could be mounting it and have a skeletal articulation in a museum instead.

But yey! progress!

California comes up with some of the most stupid and unnecessary laws. I just read somewhere yesterday that California recently passed a law requiring all state universities and colleges to offer the "abortion" pill by 2023.

Leather is a by product fur generally isn't , fur looks best on the animal it originated on so support this forward thinking move by California.

Leather is a by product, it's not going anywhere.

Good!

But leather comes from animals too, so the next logical step is to ban leather, right?

I'd say it's a great time for resourceful Californians with land to raise critters or the know how to hunt and trap to learn how to process and preserve hides. Lots of money to be made when stupid, overreaching governments pass stupid, overreaching laws. Eff the law, get paid.

I'm a massive animal lover and would never wear fur, but don't agree with this continued strong authoritarianism emanating out of California. The worst part of California's rapid dissent into complete and utter madness is that the same people who are voting for this poison that is making their state unlivable are fleeing the state in droves to where I live and all over the country and voting for the same insanity they just fled from. We are at the point where what is happening on the left today is entering mental illness territory.
