"That is the point - not some resignation and press release now."

Seems like current news is the point. Actually.

Nice side-step - you claim this is some kind of 'moral high road' move, ignoring the fact that Hunter took the job while his father was actually in office - more importantly. he only got the job because his daddy was VP.

So Hunter Biden steps.. or falls down from his positions.

1. If nothing wrong? Why not stay?
2. Being fired? For not delivering the honeypot because Daddy and the Bitsc did not won?
3. If he was such valuable asset for the company... why is he not any more?
4. If it was moral in the first place... be a man!

MSNBC

www.msnbc.com...

NBC

www.nbcnews.com...

There is literally zero evidence at this point of wrong-doing by Hunter Biden.

How about this, moron:
1. If Trump is innocent and has nothing to hide, why is he trying so hard to block witnesses from testifying?
2. If Trump didnt do anything wrong, why did numerous government and intelligence officials, many of which were Republicans appointed by Trump, start sounding the alarm and lodgong complaints LONG before the infamous phone call?
4. If Trump wasnt doing anything wrong, why did they take great pains to hide transcripts of his conversations on a highly secure private computer system (weird that the "Hillary's emails" morons dont seem to have a problem with this)?
5. If Trump has nothing to hide, why did he lay off a bunch of NSC employees who would have been possible witnesses in the impeachment trial right as the impeachment inquiry began?
6. If Trump has nothing to hide, why does he still refuse to release his tax returns and try to block their release in the courts (weird that the "if Obama has nothing to hide why doesnt he release his birth certificate people dont seem to mind this)?
7. I'll repeat this, just because it's so important: if Trump has nothing to hide, why is he going to such great lengths to attempt to block witnesses from testifying (which completely undermines our system of checks and balances)???

I could keep going. But you get the point. Or at least you would, if you werent a brainwashed clown and were capable of thinking on your own.

Too bad you dont have any self-awareness, or you would realize just how incredibly stupid it is to complain about this while all of Trump's unqualified children now have government jobs and security clearance in spite of them not being approved by the people who are normally in charge of such things. You know, when our government actually functions as a democracy rather than a dictatorship, as it currently does under Trump.

It was ratified by the Senate in October 1999.
Are you sure?

Latest Senate Action

10/18/2000
Resolution of advice and consent to ratification agreed to in Senate by Division Vote.
www.congress.gov...

In such a case, doesn't the president have to finalize the ratification? Did Clinton do so?

In any case, why the back channel? Shouldn't that sort of thing be handled by the DOJ? Instead of Trumps personal attorney?

Article 1(4) states explicitly that the Treaty is not intended to create rights in private parties to obtain, suppress, or exclude any evidence, or to impede the execution of a request.
Seems Giuliani's involvement would nullify actions under the treaty. It's specified that the authority lies only with the Attorney General or someone authorized by him.

Yes - I am sure. Agreed with Kiev by the Clinton administration and ratified by Congress.

There's no back channel. The DoJ have been invloved. The transcript specifically mentions Guilliani working with the DoJ.

You've got nothing , except an entrenchment in the Democrat scam.

Your overhwlming level of ignorance is quite frankly stunning.
The DoJ, which is full of Trump sycophants and currently ignores its normal functions and processes in order to do Trump's bidding, and which is also currently under fire?
It's hilarious when people who are dumb and/or gullible enough to fall for Trump's absurdly transparent con man BS try to claim that others are the ones falling for a scam. In order to believe Trump, you have to ignore a vast amount of evidence AND be moronic enough to believe that there is some incredibly vast conspiracy against Trump, which is laughable, but you claim that others are the suckers.... lol.

You can't quote even a little bit of it which might be relevant?

Was the treaty ratified?

THis bit should be conclusive enough:

To the Senate of the United States:
With a view to receiving the advice and consent of the Senate to ratification, I transmit herewith the Treaty Between the United States of America and Ukraine on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters with Annex, signed at Kiev on July 22, 1998.
I transmit also, for the information of the Senate, an exchange of notes which was signed on September 30, 1999, which provides for its provisional application, as well as the report of the Department of State with respect to the Treaty.
The Treaty is one of a series of modern mutual legal assistance treaties being negotiated by the United States in order to counter criminal activities more effectively. The Treaty should be an effective tool to assist in the prosecution of a wide variety of crimes, including drug trafficking offenses. The Treaty is self-executing. It provides for a broad range of cooperation in criminal matters. Mutual assistance available under the Treaty includes: taking of testimony or statements of persons; providing documents, records, and articles of evidence; serving documents; locating or identifying persons; transferring persons in custody for testimony or other purposes; executing requests for searches and seizures; assisting in proceedings related to restraint, confiscation, forfeiture of assets, restitution, and collection of fines; and any other form of assistance not prohibited by the laws of the requested state.

It was ratified by the Senate in October 1999.

So the sham impeachment enquiry you are cheering on is based on your President following an agreed treaty ratified by the Senate.

Gives more than a little to help you understand why there has been no floor vote and the House has decided to conduct secret and exclusive hearings, whilst cherry picking statements to the media. Its an election strategy, pure and simple. Democrats are hoping there are enough idiots who will buy it.

Wow. How can you be THIS dense? It's almost amazing. How could you miss the entire point so completely?
That treaty is completely irrelevant. The issue is that he withheld millions in aid, which had already been approved by Congress, until Zelensky agreed to do him a favor and attempt to find dirt on his political rival. That is the very definition of quid pro quo. That is not something that the President is allowed to do. He also isnt allowed to use the office of President for his own personal political gain. Like, you know... strong-arming a foreign government into attempting a political hit job/smear campaign that benefits him directly, rather than benefitting the country as a whole.
Please feel free to explain why numerous Republican officials appointed by Trump and numerous Republican intelligence employees raised concerns about, and lodged complaints about, and warned about the dangers and illegality of, Trump's interactions with the Ukraine? How does that fir into your idiotic conspiracy theory that this is a Democratic sham? How does the fact that even the staunchest Trump sycophants such as Lindsay Graham admitted that what Trump did was worrisome and wrong? Fit that into your incredibly atupid theory, by all means.

Yes. And it was a bad idea then, just as it would be a bad idea now.

This whole incident makes me wonder how many other "bad ideas" were followed through when all the players thought Hillary had the election in the bag, and how many more "bad ideas" would have been executed if she had won. Not to mention that the public would have never heard about any of them.

Hunter Biden sounded like President Nixon, when he said in his ABC interview "I did nothing wrong".

I am plenty self-aware - just ask my wife.

or you would realize just how incredibly stupid it is to complain about this while all of Trump's unqualified children now have government jobs

A) not one of them gets a paycheck - you did know that, right?

B) All of his children have vast experience running extremely large businesses profitably and managing large numbers of employees. They have vastly more experience in every way than Hunter Biden. His only experience is how to cash in on his daddy's political positions.

and security clearance in spite of them not being approved by the people who are normally in charge of such things.

If you can prove that about all of them, by all means. I do know that one or two security clearances were held up by some radical-left-wingnut Obama hold-overs, and Trump overruled them, as is his Right as President.

The main point that you don't seem to get is, Trump is President, and he gets to decide who he trusts.

You know, when our government actually functions as a democracy

Sorry, you are mis-informed, we are not a dumbocracy, we are a Constitutional Republic. Yes, we employ certain democratic principles, but there is a huge difference. Civics, my man.

rather than a dictatorship, as it currently does under Trump.

Dictatorship? You do know that is not only a ludicrous statement, it is 100% a lie. Stop lying.

If he was a dictator, he wouldn't be having to fight tooth and nail to get even the simplest things done. If he was a dictator, he wouldn't be fighting petty tyrant wanna-be minor federal judges who unlawfully issue nationwide injunctions against totally lawful Executive actions by the President.
Actually, Trumps administration has been virtually 100% transparent, as opposed to Barry's promises of transparency that turned out to be just another of his countless lie.
