Blown away review

I just spent the morning watching the netflix reality show blown away.
An artist competition about glass blowing.

Glass blowing fascinates me so I thought I would give it a try. For the most part the show was enjoyable but as it went on it became obvious that politics mattered more than art.

"Spoiler warning"



The winner ended up being a nasty woman.
She was mean, condescending and entiteled.

She should have been eliminated twice in my opinion and was given a pass in order to win.
Early on she made what looked like an oven mitt and called it art.
Later there was a flower challenge.
The word "flower" was right in the start of the episode. She said she doesn't relate to flowers...ugh
Honestly she looked a bit like a potato herself.

Her project was a sprouted old potato.....
Suddenly the judges started talking about the "botanical" theme....da fuk.. No flower?
Even if you give a break on the theme of the round, the potatoes were fricken ugly.

The best artists on this show certainly didn't win.
Unfortunately politics ruined the show for me.

I already saw it and honestly I expected more.

Yeah...the chick who won was horrid as were her designs. I expect they had trouble rounding up people for the show?
The prize Corning gave up was amazing tho!

Ummm...I went to the Corning museum a couple of years ago...that was a truly amazing experience...

If you get a chance to go...it’s well worth the trip...there was some phenomenal works of art there...simply breathtaking...

The demonstration seminars were totally off the hook...
