If the pharmaceuticals believe that vaccines save lives and bring a net health benefit, they have to prove that scientifically. So far they are not willing to, we need science, not assumption.

Huh...

I guess that small pox vaccine then was just a myth?

EDIT to add: I ran a search for Dr Graham Downing on the General Medical Council which is the UK register for Doctors and his name isn't on it. In fact it shows no results whatsoever for that name suggesting that he never even has been registered because when you search for a actual real medical doctor it shows their status including if they have relinquished their registration to practice. "Doctor" isn't actually a protected title in the UK and so this guy could literally just be talking out of his arse hole without a GMC registration claiming to have been whatever the hell he wants despite it being utter crap.

OtherSideOfTheCoin,

Are you attempting to dissuade the message by attacking the messenger? Dr Downing is not attempting to heal people in the United States without a medical license. He is providing calm, sound and investigative information regarding the egregious claims that injecting PUS into humans will save lives.

By the way, yesssssss, let's talk about the Small Pox fiasco. Shall we start with the years 1899, 1900 and 1901 when the US Army went to the Philippines and vaccinated every single body they could find and the result was that the recipients dropped like flies... dead. I believe what was learned from THAT experience was akin to too much salt in the soup, or too strong a does for the people living in a warmer environment.

. The World Health Organization has the money and the vaccines it needs to stamp out the disease out once and for all — but it hasn't been able to finish the job. A major obstacle is Pakistan, where heavy opposition to vaccination programs in some regions has let polio regain a foothold.

Smallpox could return...

The success of the smallpox eradication program is evidenced by the fact that many people today don't even remember how awful smallpox was. Caused by the Variola major virus, smallpox killed a third of people infected and over 300 million people in the 20th century alone. Even when people survived the disease, they often suffered blindness and disfigurement from the blisters caused by the disease. For five centuries, smallpox plagued the world until a massive endeavor that involved thousands and thousands of people, starting with the discovery of a smallpox vaccine in 1796 by Edward Jenner, continuing with the WHO agreeing in 1958 with the Soviet Union proposal to attempt global eradication, further continuing with a specific resolution in 1966 to end smallpox in ten years, and ending with the last known naturally occurring case in Merka Town, Somalia.

I think the proof of the value of vaccines is pretty obvious?

Blaine91555,

I do not see any studies or test results identifying any value of vaccines as obvious. But it does make sense that when the people began to have a healthier and cleaner diet (and body), and began to bury their garbage instead of polluting the rivers for those downstream ---> THEN the disease began to lessen.

There was certainly a small pox vaccine, but countries which didn't have mass vaccination programs also eradicated small pox, and the locations which were being given the small pox vaccines would then go on to have the worst outbreaks.

Anything like this needs to be studied very carefully, with high-quality studies, the industry will try to mislead and tell you their products are great, but solid evidence is required to prove the point. Many people were left disabled by the small pox vaccine, and small pox wasn't particularly contagious, so it was perfectly possible to eradicate simply by the use of quarantine.

hiddencode,

I really appreciate your knowledge and common sense. And thank you for posting the video with Dr Downing.

What a load of rubbish.

Typical reinterpretation of reality and pseudosciebce by people who don't like vaccinations. I made it for 17 minutes listening to the bias and selectivity, by gave up on the statement "...Public Health England which is not a government body but is kind of an industry linked body blah, blah, blah". In fact Public Health England is part of the English NHS. With basic errors like that...

Also note that the Dr Graham Downing who is in this video is not a "real" doctor as he's not on the UK List of Registered Medical Practitioners. He could be a doctor of silliness and quackery though and his bio from another site gives a varied career and qualifications from Texas Chiropractic College.

Edit - credit OtherSide who ran to the GMC and posted before me. Great minds think alike. I'm a professor by the way; well I am one every other Thursday. A professor of abosultutely bugger-all

paraphi,
Really? You also must resort to the ad hominem fallacy for your support argument?
The issue is NOT whether the speaker is a genuine doctor of medicine; but rather whether the information of which he speaks is accurate or false.

I think your using bad sources here to justify something that makes no sense in reality.

Blaine91555,

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but is English your second language or is there another reason why you incorrectly mis-spelled your for you're ?

Perhaps everything that you say in English is ALSO suspect as valid or at best, is inaccurate?

That would make as much sense as for me to deny the SCIENCE of the Dr. Downing's video because the “DR” in front of his name does not refer to the man as a Medical doctor, as opposed to a person who is learned and has accomplished the PhD of education.
Further, while it is interesting to identify fraud versus validity of the messenger…. I personally find that the message is a more important part of the investigation.

I think your own bias and perhaps fear of medicine is warping your judgement. This really is flat earth style territory here. Vaccines have saved millions if not hundreds of millions of lives and that's just reality.

Blaine91555,

Please provide the evidence of your claim, "vaccines have saved millions if not hundreds of millions of lives and that's just reality."

I'm a realist and I love facts... and I would like to see the factual support of your contention.

Snake oil is what they sell on the sites that cater to the anti-medicine crowd, not the opposite. People will disparage actual medicine like vaccines that save lives and then buy a bottle of grossly overpriced mystery juice and willingly drink it down.

Blaine91555,

Interesting use of the phrase, 'snake oil' …. And as FACTS go… during the 1800’s, it was good ‘ol Grandpappy Rockefeller who used to peddle his “snake oil” (that he called, “Nujol”), from his miracle cure medicine wagon as an elixor that would, “…cure anything you got”.
Ol’ Grandpappy built a world dynasty on his snake oil “mystery juice” (that some of the gullible public did swallow up); and dynasty is what happens when one partakes of snake oil concoctions… they DIE NASTY.

Many people die from vaccines and are left disabled, we would need solid studies to answer the questions, each vaccine would need to be studied, the ingredients in them, the full schedule, the timing etc. The current reality is that we have no way of knowing if they bring more harm or benefit overall.

Bollocks.

A small minority of people will have some side-effects or anaphylaxis reaction to vaccinations but for the most part they are safe there is zero evidence that there is a significant enough risk to vaccinating a child that would support advising against vaccinations. All medication has its risks but a vaccine is about as safe as a paracetamol, probably more so.

OtherSideOfTheCoin,

Death or a life-long adverse side affect in a "small percentage minority", is not zero evidence of a significant risk to vaccinating children. Prey tell, what is more significant that ANY child being harmed by injections of PUS ???

And can you imagine the recourse ---> if my goldenseal root herb were to cause a malady or death to even ONE child or person, EVER ?? I would be stoned or put in prison.

NOOOOO, not one effing death should be tolerated from vaccinations FORCED upon humans.

Blaine91555,

Unfortunately the World Health Organization have many conflicts of interest with the pharmaceuticals, similar to the CDC, their information is hence not independent.

www.bmj.com...

On the Polio vaccine, Polio is a disease of poor sanitation. Also the oral polio vaccine actually spreads polio, the vaccine strain is now the most common circulating strain.

Here a doctor explains the polio story in great detail, it's quite different to the mainstream narrative:-

On Small Pox, please look back to the my response to OtherSideOfTheCoin.

I've taken a look at the largest so called natural store here and they have rows and rows of questionable elixirs and innocuous weeds, dried, ground up and put in capsules and then sold for crazy high prices with nebulous health claims implied. What a racket. People are sooooooo gullible.

Some of that stuff is good for a person, don't get me wrong, but when I see person at a natural store with hundreds of dollars worth of crap in a cart heading for checkout I can only shake my head, knowing most of it is worthless and some of it can be dangerous.
