Two foreign-born Trump donors who helped connect Rudy Giuliani with Ukrainian officials as part of his efforts to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son were arrested on Wednesday night on campaign finance charges, the Wall Street Journal reports.

www.axios.com...

LEV PARNAS, IGOR FRUMAN, DAVID CORREIA, and ANDREY KUKUSHKIN, the defendants, conspired to circumvent the federal laws against foreign influence by engaging in a scheme to funnel foreign money to candidates for federal and State office so that the defendants could buy potential influence with candidates, campaigns, and the candidates' governments.

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman introduced Giuliani to former Ukrainian prosecutors Viktor Shokin and Yuri Lutsenko, who promoted allegations that Biden forced Ukraine to fire Shokin in 2016 because Shokin was investigating a gas company that employed Biden's son, per the Washington Post. President Trump's and Giuliani's efforts to get Ukraine to investigate Biden for this alleged corruption are now at the center of an impeachment inquiry.
Earlier this week, Parnas and Fruman told the House committees investigating Trump and Ukraine that they will not comply with document or deposition requests. Their attorney John Dowd, who represented Trump during the Mueller investigation, accused Democrats of attempting "to harass, intimidate and embarrass" his clients.

So, the folks who provided the so called dirt on Biden are arrested for campaign finance charges, and all is good with the crappy claim by Trump...

OK folks. When are we going to see that this is a manufactured claim by Trump, and that he is guilty of some serious breaches of the constitution?

All you ATS'ers out their who chirp so much about the constitution, where are you.

Oh, by the way, this is what the constitution says about it:

The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

You can make up new rules all you want. but this is what my constitutions says.

What does your constitution say?

I can see that we are in a crisis. How far will we let Trump go? Dictatorship?

Maybe you missed the fact that the current Ukraine president won office for promising to investigate the multitude of corruption in the entire country. This doesn't mean or prove squat.

It looks like you need to visit this ATS thread and get the other side of the story...

Well not really. I mean it could be the democrats investigating anyone and everyone connected with Trump to find some dirt to arrest them in hopes of putting pressure on Trump. It can work both ways. The democrats are refusing to admit or even investigate the possibility of pay for play because they know it'll open the flood gates for other high profile figures and former democrats (Cough cough Hillary, Bill).

Guess that some folks don't want to go along with the Constitution of the United States, when they make up new rules.

Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States; but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.

Clause 5: Speaker and other officers; Impeachment The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

What part of that do you not understand?

It is very clear, one sentence.

There is none of the crap that people are claiming that has to happen.

Many folks who are REEEEEEEE are so ill informed that it is funny.

It is just funny. Until their heads explode when Trump is impeached.

Then the rest of us will just mop up your blood and go on like you never lived.

The constitution only matters when a Democrat is in office. You should know this by now.

Clause 5: Speaker and other officers; Impeachment The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

Constitutional law about impeachment. Nothing more.

Want to follow the constitution?

That is what it says.

So all you lame folks out their saying that what is happening is unconstitutional? Suck it.

Do you understand how a semicolon works? It doesn't sound like it.

Regardless, the House of Representatives gets to vote on their speaker, officers, and impeachment. Then the entire trial is held in the Senate, where impeachment dies if the House votes to start the impeachment trial.

Then why haven't they taken the proper steps and have the House vote on it?

the Congress will just shelve it.

Then what?

Yep, that’s what my copy of the Constitution says. The House of Representatives shall have the sole power of Impeachment. Not a jacked up version in which the Speaker confers with Chairmen of various committees to come to a consensus that a state of quasi-impeachment exist by declaring it is so.

That would be a dictatorship at worst and a coup to usurp power at the very least.
