It would surprise if it hasn't already happened. People, especially the youth, don't need a reason to riot and cause chaos!

You all need to think of the bright side, pun very much intended.

I'm in Palm Springs for work right now, if the power goes off I'm looting this place like a mofo.

Well, the power is thankfully still on in Sacramento. However, I would go to the nearest grocery story and still all the veggies I could carry because they're too expensive! The price of good produce has gone through the roof!

It’s a sad day in America when people would steal kale.

I’d start at the liquor stores then hit the jewelry shops.

Hopefully they had their power kept on or had back up generators.

Well I like veggies and never enough money for groceries and I'm one person at that. So why not steal and save the cash for something better. Of course I wouldn't no to a shot!

Generators...
I was wondering about cell towers..
Will they still function?
So many people no longer have land lines..

Still not sure why Cali isn't using forestry mulching equipment to clear their power lines. I know for sure here in FL they are clearing almost ALL of the power lines... I dunno maybe because we get hurricanes and fires? smh

Bureaucracy.....plain and simply.
Clearing the brush might harm the habitat of some rare gecko...
Not that a raging forest fire wouldnt do that too..

They are saying some cell service can go out if batteries/generators fail.

If you are in the outage, go hang out at the company execs or stockholders houses. Your loss is due to their gain.

I'd wonder more where they are diverting all that power to....what is it being used for while the cities are all cut?

There's a lot of farm land but people in the suburbs and cities mainly purchase their food and other items at the big box stores. Of course if you tried to grow something, good luck, it would be a miracle if something germinated.

The powerplants will back off on production during the blackout.
