Since I left the NSA in '72, I know the trusty old typewriters were safe. My last duty station was the 6949th at Offutt AFB, Omaha, Nebraska, or as we called it "Awful AFB, Omigod, Nebraska". I think it was every 6 months a team came in and electronically swept everything looking for bugs.

cranky, I thought that at first too but I believe it's 8x 9s in Q859 and 7x 9s in Q3572.
I'm wondering if there are multiple meanings to SEC in Q3572... If you read it as Securities and Exchange Commission then it could imply Marines are taking control of the Fed?

That's a good one! I'm sure my monitor laughed also!

As I've said, I'm a 73 year old geezer with 50 year old memories. What I remember is history. For a long time the NSA got a bad rap. Adm Rogers changed everything. You have no idea the courage it took to disobey military protocol, bypass THE Top Pentagon Brass, and pay a private visit to the new president-elect in New York City. Before he did that, the Deep State was trying to remove him as DIRNSA.
After all is said and done, the NSA will be written about in history as the heroes, and my heart soars like a hawk! If they visit, it'll be to pat me on the back!
