Doubting Thomas had nothing on you. sorry, holiday kind of lead to example that came to mind

Horrible comparison.

You see with Jesus, there's that little thing called evidence (we have more proof of Jesus than we do of Julius Cesar). With Titor, ehh....none.

Want to convince me that Titor is really from the future. Then simply fill in the tons of holes he's left. Should be simple enough since his story is complete. Right?

Now as to his quote you presented: Can you not see he was being sarcastic??

In context he was not being sarcastic.
You can read just about everything he said in it's context here
www.anomalies.net...

Never mind -- approximations and sarcasm don't work with you, what of humor?- are you sure you are not in-fact some form of artificial intelligence unable to appreciate those?? Maybe a robot sent back in time to kill one John Conar? Do you speak with a heavy accent too?

No, that would be Peterpaul

GREAT Timer SO!

And Ryanp, there's no reason why you can't start laughing now

I've been laughing all this year!
Well, except for the times I've cried after reading some of the posts in this thread. Get's kinda depressing seeing grown people still unable to seperate fact from fiction. But then I'd realize that there has been and always will be people like that. Just have to shug and move on.

Hey SkepticOverlord,

I have to ask you hypothetical question. Suppose if John Titor is real, do you believe his American Civil War of 2005 is to take place in our world-line? If no or yes, why?

The reason I ask, Titor does undoubtedly describes that if he goes forward in our world-line it is not his future.
I would think obviously our future would be somewhat different.

I'm guessing the clock is to antagonize the Titorites and those in between.
Or simply for this thread lol?

Well, only a few days left.
Sing it with me guys!

"It's Christmas at Ground Zero,
The Button has been pressed.
The Radi-o just let us know
That this-is-not a test.

Now maybe you hear reindeer on your rooftop
Or Jack Frost at your window-sill,
But if anyone slides down your chimney,
You better grab your gun and shoot to kill!"

They only want to "prove" their case in their manner. It’s understandable. But, they obviously can't and though they can shout as many times that there are “so many holes” in Titor's chronicles, they cannot show them. And the purported "holes" on this thread have been "pwnd" easily. One only has to read this entire thread…

The counter only proves a to be expected common reaction of fear and denial to a "prediction" that people rather want to bury deep into the ground then facing it's true value. Something John Titor already anticipated on when he said:

John Titor
"I realize my claims are a bit ridiculous but my intent is not really to be believed."
"In my travels, I have discovered that most people really don’t want to know about the future because if its different than what they want it ticks them off. Actually, I don’t blame them."
"My goal is not to be believed. Most people do not take news of the war very well but I find that everyone believes it's inevitable. Even in your own history, are not great inventions and discoveries made during a time of war in your effort to kill and maim in new and more efficient ways?"

Therefore it would be interesting to observe their faces and opinions when the second US civil war hits them personally as it grows into their future. No excuses here and definitely no holes.

John Titor
"By 2008, I would say the civil conflict is pretty much at everyone's doorstep."
"The year 2008 was a general date by which time everyone will realize the world they thought they were living in was over."
"Can anyone tell me how many companies in the United States still manufacture bicycle tires today? Anyone who still has a bike in 2008 will find out."

As previously mentioned, let's see how willing American's will be to surrender their Constitutional Rights and freedom in order to feel safe and secure in the coming years...

What are you talking about Roth? You haven't even plugged ONE hole yet!

There are tons of holes in his discussions on time travel you have yet to prove.
You still haven't explained to me how even though they barely have enough power to work a printer, they are able to build, test, and put into production time machines.
You still haven't explained to me where the money came from to build, test, and put into production time machines.
You still haven't explained, how exactly do you test a time machine? Especially since you're not returning to your worldline when you get back.
You still haven't explained how all the infastructure, manpower, etc. needed to build, test, and put into production time machines survived a 10 year civil war and then a nuclear war on top of that.
You still haven't showed me one Waco type event. The best you could come up with is tasers! Are you kidding me?

You still haven't explained to me why there's NO media talk at all anywhere around the world about this civil war that's supposedly been going on for over a year in the most powerful nation on earth!
You still haven't explained how Titor's civil war is going to happen here even though Titor himself said it may not happen!

Come on Roth, how can you say you've owned anyone? You haven't done anything except ramble on about the dangers of tasers. Why you choose this thread to do that, I have no idea.

That is not what Titor said.. and it seems like it is just set up to make people believe that Titor was a fake if war does not break out on new years day. which was not in actuallity what he said..

Could we please get that inaccurate and misleading counter removed?

Ignorance Denied right? Then lets give it a real chance to be denied the proper way... It wont kill you if it takes a few more months to disprove Titor will it?

Ofcourse Titor can return to his exact home. What he's explaining is that as long as he stays on this worldline he could never make it back to his home! Ofcourse not. The divergence would become larger and larger from his point of view. The best he could do is to get to a worldline that is so close, no one would know the difference. But Titor made it very clear that he could get back to his exact home. Therefore.... he first needs to go back to the point before he arrived and THEN going forward to 2036! Got it now?

Again, Titor made it perfectly clear that he was very able to return safely to his point of origin on his own worldline or any other point of origin.

John Titor
“The computer units and gravity sensors "record" your trip and you are quite easily able to return to your point of origin.”

Q: Are you able to return to your home?
“Yes.”

Q: Do people know where you are? Can you communicate with your home?
No. They do not know where I am and I cannot communicate with them. Interesting idea though. From their point of view, I will return almost exactly at the same moment I left. From their viewpoint, I will only have aged more than expected.

“If I go forward on this worldline, the future will not be my future.I get home by going back to 1975 before I arrived and then going forward to 2036.”

Take a good look at our history of major wars. Take a good look at the modern, thriving cities Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Japan as a whole. Furthermore take a good look at one of my previous posts to you regarding this matter:

www.abovetopsecret.com...
So many inventions we have that we take for granted are created by a necessity, which only increases during wartime. Once the scientists involved at CERN will do their discovery I don't think this exciting project will be cancelled during or after wartime. Throughout history, military technology has been the driving force of technological advancement. And if a war gets really bad, scientists and engineers will have to work overtime to make our technology better. That's what I call logic.

Horrible taser-deaths and permanent taser-damages are not the best yet ThatsJustWeird, its only the beginning as these WACO-type events will steadily grow worse in our future. Something like this has never happened on such a large scale as our police officers are proving to us nowadays. Now we are getting “electrocuted alive”… the next step will be “cooked alive”….
You will think of me when that moment arrives… you will think a lot about me and my words on this thread…

WACO-type event:

1) Defenseless and unarmed US civilians were dying a cruel and unnecessary death by the hand of their own officers of the law while their deaths should have been avoided and while their voices and pleas haven't been listened to.

- It's happening over and over nowadays

2) The law enforcement officers responsible for their deaths were cleared without any prosecution for "wrongful death."

- It's happening over and over nowadays

3) Authorities spreading disinformation regarding the incident to the (mass) media.

- It's happening over and over nowadays

1) Taser-deaths are covered by the media.
2) John Titor could not specifically tell us if the “conflicts” would be covered by the mass media or not
3) I am sure that when the civil war grows in its intensity the mass media will cover it in our future

And this all by the hands of their own officers of the law who were supposed to protect them instead of killing and damaging them!

As I have answered before, it has become a national issue now and will grow worse!

Syrinx, you and ThatsJustWeird are disrupting this thread by repeating the same questions over and over again that were already answered on this thread long ago.

It's pretty obvious what your goals are here. However, you won't succeed:

No need to "play semantics and split hairs" here syrinx, because as before has been shown, there's only one way to interpret what Titor meant.

John Titor specifically named the official Olympics of 2004 and thereafter. The official 2004 Olympics was in Greece (Athens). Greece did NOT pass the torch to Italy (Torino) in 2006 but to China (Beijing) in 2008.

John Titor
"As a result of the many conflicts, no, there were no official Olympics after 2004."

news.bbc.co.uk...
Greece bids Games farewell
The 2004 Olympic Games officially came to an end in Athens with a spectacular closing ceremony on Sunday. Greek music and dance kicked off an evening of celebration before the flame was extinguished and the flag lowered. A firework display welcomed the athletes into the Olympic Stadium, with double gold-medallist Kelly Holmes carrying Great Britain's flag. The torch has now been passed to China as Beijing prepares to host the Games in 2008.

AND THIS ONE:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

thank you for illustrating my point. I consider the winter olypics official. It hurts your position for them to be considered official, so you make up nonsense about the torch.
If there is only one way to interpret what titor meant, how do you explain when he said a civil war would start in 2005, and it would have organized groups engaged in combat ?

OK, then going by your logic, if the unofficial winter olympics are cancelled, we won't hear from any titor supporters using that as evidence,

right ?

Without any doubt the torch has been passed to China to host the Games in 2008 and NOT to Italy in 2006.

Whether the Winter Games in 2006 in Torino, Italy will continue or not, will be irrelevant to Titor's prediction.

Furthermore, as he made it clear that we will grow into a civil war, his statement that as "a result of the many conflicts" there will be no official Olympics after 2004 makes perfect sense. So without a doubt, somewhere in 2008 the conflicts will be many and as a result the official olympics every 4 years will be canceled.

Another argument to strengthen my case, is that Titor said that it appears the Games may be revived in 2040. If he would have meant the Winter Games he would have said 2038 or 2042.

I would like to thank everybody for their contribution on this thread. Some of you have my email address. Page 98 and close to 2006... By the time this thread will reach 99 pages you won't be hearing from me anymore. But perhaps who knows, a few more messages around 2008 if this thread is still alive...

Remember:

John Titor
"When I arrive in the “new” 1998 worldline on my way home I could easily start all of this again and continue to go through the same conversations with all of the same people. However, I already know you won’t pay any attention or believe me because we’ve already been through it on this worldline. Besides, I think the walk to the gas station will do you some good."

Here are a few other things I found in our general conversations which might be worth repeating:

Me: “By that time, it was pretty clear that we were not going back to what we had and the division between the “cities” and the “country” was well defined. My father made a living by putting together 12-volt electrical systems…”

I believe it was a few days ago I saw a news story about potential problems with power that “might” affect the entire United States. Where do you think they’ll turn it off first when push comes to shove?

Me: “ However, there are a great many “non lethal” weapon systems in development that turn out to be quite lethal.”
Anyone for microwave popcorn?

Me: If you push a farmer too far, they stop growing food and have nothing to do but hide in the woods and shoot back.”

"Bring a gas can with you when the car dies on the side of the road."

Happy New-year.

Roth Joint.

Perhaps you're confused. This is 2005 right now. At the end of this year we will be in the year 2006. According to your own words the time has expired I think the timer is being too generous by waiting until the very end of the year. According to Titor (As you mentioned) we should have seen this war start during the middle of the year. It's now the end of the year he mentioned, and yet, there are no signs of a civil war.

As already pointed out to you on this thread, through a history of major wars there always was money for important projects. There will be enough money and other means for this one too.

This is NOT an important project!
During and after a nuclear war that wipes out HALF the earth, the important projects would be oh I don't know...maybe REBUILDING!

Answered pages ago on this thread. You just keep on asking the same questions.

WHERE!?
I keep asking the same questions because you're not answering.

What you just quoted doesn't answer a thing! Not once does he state how you successfully test a time machine.

In November 2000 he states that he can go back to his worldline
In January 2001 he states that it's impossible to get back to the same worldline only a similar one (see below)
So which is it?

How can you test something that never get's back to you?

In fact his comments only raise more questions.
Like, supposedly his machine just travels through time and not space. Impossible.
The machine would have to travel through space to keep up with the earth's rotation. That VGL crap is nonsense.

Getting back to his timeline: How?
He says he has to go back to 1975 then foward again to 2036.

What nonsense!
If he goes back to 1975, that would be the 3rd 1975!
1st - his worldline
2nd - when he went on his mission
3rd - him going back
He would be going to the third 2036, not his!

he goes from 2036 to 1975, from 1975 to 1998, from 1998 to 2001 (or vice versa?), from 2001 to 1975, then from 1975 to 2036.

We're talking about a NUCLEAR WAR here! Something the world has never seen. I can guarentee you that people would focus on surviving and inventing things that help people survive than nonsense like time travel. In Titor's world the avg. lifespan is 60 years old, they don't have clean air, and they don't have clean water. Most cities have been destroyed, half the world's population is gone which mean basic services are a mess. Are you seriously trying to convince us that they're sitting up there creating time machines!?

2) John Titor could not specifically tell us if the “conflicts” would be covered by the mass media or not
3) I am sure that when the civil war grows in its intensity the mass media will cover it in our future

1. I'm talking about the civil war, not tasers. Taser btw are not being covered like it's the begining of a civil war. There may be a blurb here and there, but that's it. These things are supposed to cause a civil war right? So why only blurbs?

2. Why wouldn't they be? You're telling me you have trouble seeing a civil war in the most powerful nation on earth being covered by the mass media?
Are you joking?

More on Titor's holes (get your mind out the gutter!):
In his two most glaring rips off of Alas Babylon, he states the Capital of the US being moved to Omaha.
The US and Russia had a cold war for how long? I'm pretty sure Russia knows where most of our important military facilities are and Titor does state that military installations along with cities will be hit.
What's in Omaha? Oh, just Offutt AFB. Not only is it an AFB, but also US Strategic Command Center headquarters. I'm sure Russia (or the militia before that) will just overlook that right and leave Omaha alone.

Please. Omaha would be leaveled.

Well hate to say it guys.. but John Titor was correct and it all started right here in this thread. The civil war, looks at the sides arguing and debating, true civil war. I bet its happening everywhere his predictions are being discussed, two sides being at civil war with each other over the issues here.

So its all happened on ATS, the civil war and it began over his prediction and yet it was his prediction.. hmmm

Not really. Most people agree he was a hoax. Roth is an anomoly. Finding someone so steadfast that Titor and his civil war is real is rare.

Here's anomalies where Titor posted (some of the people who asked Titor questions - including Pamela - are still around)
communities.anomalies.net...

Here's timetravelportal (I think Titor posted here too, maybe not)
timetravelportal.com...

Roth:

Page 98 and close to 2006... By the time this thread will reach 99 pages you won't be hearing from me anymore.

Oh come on Roth!!
Don't take the easy way out!
But I can see why you're doing it. It's kinda hard to convince people a work of fiction is true.

Wouldn't it be funny if the war Titor 'predicted' was caused by people fighting over whether he was a fake or not and whether the war would happen or not.

Strategic bases in Omaha will be hit as well... very effective and "clean" nuclear warheads... more stormy weather... communication failed... perhaps the increasing number of solarflares and/or sunspots around 2012?... who is playing with our future?...

In January 2001 he states that it's impossible to get back to the same worldline only a similar one (see below)
So which is it?

No contradictions here. As I have answered to you in my previous post:

What John Titor explains is that as long as he stays on this worldline he could never make it back to his home! Ofcourse not. The divergence would become larger and larger from his point of view. In THAT case, the best he could do is to get to a worldline that is so close, no one would know the difference!

But Titor made it very clear that he could get back to his exact home. Therefore.... he first needs to go back to the point before he arrived and THEN going forward to 2036! Got it now? (I don't think you ever will...)

Again, Titor made it perfectly clear that he was very able to return safely to his point of origin on his own worldline or any other point of origin.

lmao! He's going to end up in a world run by sea creatures when he returns.

That was truly funny. Here's how Titor returns to his exact point of origin:

A few people have asked me about this statement so I will try to clarify it.
On my worldline: (A) in 2036, I was given a mission in 1975. I turn my machine on and jump to another worldline (B) in 1975 with about a 2% divergence from (A).
From the very point I turn my machine off on (B), I create a new worldline just because I'm there. This line can be described as (C) and started when I got to (B).
I am now doing my mission on line (C) in 1975 when I discover a very a good reason to go forward on (C) and see what happened. I turn my machine on and go forward on (C) to the year 2000.
When I turn it off, I start another line called (D). So from my perspective, here we are on line (D) in the year 2000. In order to go home to line (A) I must turn my machine on and go back on (D) until I reach (C) which in turn would take me back to (B) which in turn takes me to a point before I arrived on (B) then I go forward from the point I arrived on (B) back to (A).
If all this isn't enough to get your head spinning…here are some issues we're dealing with in 2036.
1. Did your worldline (D) exist at all before I got here from (C)? (personally I don't see how it couldn't)
2. What happens at the end of a worldline at the edge of the super universe?
3. If there are infinite worldlines and infinite possibilities and an edge to the super universe, doesn't that mean occurring events on worldliness are staggered as they reach the edge? (time could end at any moment without warning).
Happy New Year everyone!

Page 99! This will be my last post for now. See you around in 2008... that is... if you are still around during that time period...
