Why is it a thread can receive negative flags now?

Just a short question. I noticed a thread had negative flags. That's never happened before or been possible on ATS.

Why now? Is it to allow topics to be brigaded by online gangs like reddit?

I'm really curious what changed and who changed it.

And it's happening to this one as well. I've seen two flags vanish as I'm sitting here.

If you keep tapping the flag it comes up with a "fail".

It's always done that. But there's no way for me as a regular user to make it go to negative. I'm wondering how that's possible?

Someone must have read this thread because now the thread in question is at 1 flag. What's going on? Is someone behind the scenes making changes that no one knows about?

Lol. I'm just wondering how it's possible. There's no way for me to make a negative flag on any thread. So it has to be someone with higher privileges changing things.

Staff has no control over the flags. If a member gives a flag they can then remove said flag again. It's a simple glitch, nothing more.

I am guessing it has to be done to a thread with zero flags? I just tapped this one til I got a fail...it didn't seem to remove my original flag but when I tapped it again it added another. Did I just double flag?
