I believe alot of the middle east has been a large scale mistake with small scale advantages and victories blunted by the passing of time. Mix in a little indifference and we are where we are. We screwed the kurds over by turning the other cheek when they were gassed by Saddam. Now that the board has changed, they are callously an asset. One of proven tremendous capability. And as Phage said its not like we have a large group of regulars on the ground.

From what i barely know about support of Turkey is that we are legally bound to support them. obviously doenst line up with our mission out there. other than that Its my opinion that the Kurds deserve our respect and protection at least somewhat as long as they want and ask for it. But in the end I believe that self determination is always the right choice and If a country or people rise or fall, thats life. I also believe that connections we make with each other as humans can be worth fighting for.

So in your first or second post you say Trump says they are defeated like a you got me moment lol Then this post you say he says they are a threat lol which is it?

Try to concentrate.
You said:

ISIS has never been a threat to America
In 2017 my (and your?) president issued that statement.

See? You said ISIS was never a threat. It seems that my (and your???) president disagrees.

It's pretty complicated, I know. But think about it.

Fight side by side w the Kurds sometime, then come back and see if you still have this question

You're obviously ignorant of the middle east situation to a degree fitting a freshman in high school. Actually they probably are more upt to speed..........

All that aside, it's clear your whole issue is "Trump" and this is just another excuse to rant

The mods seem busy lately banning all those puppet accounts, I'm glad somethings finally being done........

The KURDS have helped American families who are employed by military and war-related manufacturers.

Isis really isnt a threat to us.

Not anymore. According to Trump.

Do you think we should be the world police?
It depends. But I don't think abandoning allies is a good idea.

Maybe I get can a straight answer from you, since no-one else can give me one.

The coalition-of-the-willing that originally gave Halliburton a military escort to secure all Iraq oilfields in 2003 and subsequently rearranged the topography of the country because 9/11 / Saddam bad man......still exists today.

Australia is still here, so to England, Canada, France and a slew of others. Why can't the US gear-up those 'allies' to keep the Kurds protected?

Can you explain why the US and US troops MUST, by hook or by crook, be imbedded in the M.E when you just need to give us your weapons and sh!t and we'll take the reigns?? Hell, you can even offer logistical support from Pine Gap if you like.

??????

That's sort of word salady, but I'll try.

The ME has, pretty much throughout history, been a mess. There's a reason for that. It's got good stuff. Most recently, oil. Oil is important to the world's economy (and to its detriment). As a result, the more things get screwed up in the ME, the more things get screwed up in the world. The US is part of the world, believe it, like it, or not. Stuff that happens in the ME affects stuff that happens in the US (talking economics, but not ignoring terror).

Do you think it's a good idea to just let # happen in the ME? I don't.

If you are a citizen of the United States of America then the President of the United States of America is your President.

Not that you need reminding of that, lets just agree that you are guilty by association.

Sucks I know, but thems the breaks big fella.....

Florida teen stabs 3 people, killing 1, 'because of his religious beliefs': Police
By ABC News
Mar 13, 2018, 6:41 PM ET

"Johnson has confessed his actions to investigations, stating he stabbed the victims because of his religious beliefs," Shannon said, adding Johnson had converted to Islam.

According to the incident report, Johnson “felt Dane ‘made fun of his Muslim faith and the fact that [he] prayed and kissed the ground.’”

Shannon also said that his department had received information regarding the teen from a previous FBI investigation. The information “urged officers to use caution if contact was made” and "concerned [the teen's] violent tendencies," Shannon said.

When asked if the incident was linked to ISIS, Shannon replied, “Not from what we’ve uncovered, but we understand he has been watching violent videos, which may have some link to ISIS.”

Agreed - hence my option that I posited above. America needs to take care of her domestic issues as a priority, time to hand over the reigns to your mates who have fought and died along side you since before you and I were even born.
