It's more about abandoning friends.

A lot of Republicans think so too.

Americans are not leaving Syria, they're just getting out of Erdogan's way.

Perpetual war it is than ... because "friends".

Friends in Saudi Arabia; Friends in Israel; Friends in Pakistan; Friends in India; Friends in Venezuela; Friends in the Ukraine; Friends in Germany; Friends in Japan.

We have a lot of friends; I guess that makes it ok to have a lot of war.

the hippies of the 60's are the Government today

"the song remains the same"

What a tragic story that turned out to be.

I agree about Iraq.

Are you saying ISIS wasn't real? We didn't destroy a Caliphate?

What I'm saying is that as a people we Americans are very fickle. Today its ok to support war because we have friends, yesterday it wasn't. Today its ok to give a platform to a religious zealot, and perhaps bigot; yesterday it wasn't.

The existence of ISIS doesn't change this.

The war with ISIS is over. There is no war to support. Trump said so. It's perfect there. Mission accomplished.

But are you sure you understand the situation of the Kurds?

And again, the American troops are not leaving Syria.

I don't think so.
Nor do a lot of those who otherwise support him. For some though, it doesn't matter what he says or does. Never will.

Your right I shouldn't say "war". Congress hasn't declared war on the Turks; or ISIS. Perhaps "International military intervention" ... "armed conflict"?

Of course American troops are not leaving Syria; we'd have to impeach Trump if he did that. It would be all the proof we need that Trump is doing Russa's bidding.

I understand the situation of the Kurds; they are Americas "Friends" so they are going to get stepped on one way or another.
