"It would be very, very, very bad for him to be impeached," Res said. "I don't know that he'll be found guilty but I don't know that he wants to be impeached. I think that's what this panic is about. And my gut [instinct] is that he'll leave office, he'll resign. Or make some kind of a deal, even, depending on what comes out."

How crazy would this be?
Imagine Trump just resigning instead of being forced. Is this the only way to prevent pandemonium?
Both sides seem ready to battle, this I think would deflate that.
Is this his "out"? I'll say this, I don't think anyone can predict what Trump will do.

Yeah...I would love to go indepth on this question but my guess is this thread will very soon derail.

First point to be attacked is:" By: Clare Duffy, CNN Business"

A couple of silly memes and a lot of denial.

On a side note, I think he will resign before impeachment while saying it wasn't his fault and how the deepstate fake news left him no other choice.

Peace

Even if he gets impeached it doesn't mean he would lose his position.

Trump's ego won't let him resign.

He will try and bluff it out.

Resignation would be an admission of failure , the Donald doesn't fail at anything so no , I don't think he will.

For what? So far all I have seen is a lot of unfounded accusations. He released the phone call, nothing there. The complaint was released, second hand information. Nothingbuger on a Nothingbun.

One of trumps executives that worked for him thinks he will bail.

Or perhaps it's all Rick Perrys fault and it will be dropped.

perhaps if trump could stop all the leaks coming from his staff, it would all blow over.

Trump will not resign, he will be re-elected by a wide margin.

Exactly what would he be impeached for?

Just sounds like more of the same baseless speculation being passed of as "news".

No, I don't think so.

I've yet to see anything that would rise to the level of impeachment, to be honest.

No chance. Why would they even try an impeachment 1 year before an election?

Jesus just let us vote him out. Oh thats why he will never get voted out.

So they have to cheat. Lefts MO

He just told Pelosi to call for an ACTUAL Impeachment vote...instead of the phony-Impeachment scam she's trying to pull off to pacify idiot Leftists in her party.

So, no...Trump isn't leaving...he's going on to two terms.

Legally, he has more to lose, sooner, by resigning.

Under DOJ policy, as a sitting president he will not be indicted for any crimes committed before or during his time in office. If he were to resign, he would no longer be protected by that policy.

IF, note that I say “IF”, he has committed crimes that are still within the statute of limitations, he could be indicted as he would be just another private citizen, like you or me.

Word is that at least one, and possibly more, “whistleblowers” are ready to file complaints.

And in the face of Trump supporters who have tried to discredit the original whistleblower by claiming he/she had only “second or third-hand” information,

This/these whistleblowers are said to have direct, first-hand knowledge of the acts they are reporting as witnesses.

As 45 is wont to say....

We’ll have to see what happens.

Ile predict he dies soon, vascular dementia being no joke.

But he cannot use that excuse for everything.

If he had any honor, he would take a hot bath and a razor blade to both wrists.

I don't see Trump resigning. I doubt he'll be removed from office either. The Senate is scared to speak up. Whatever is in those hacked RNC emails from 2016 that Russia is sitting on must be pretty juicy to make them fall in line like they are.

Why... as mentioned Clinton was impeached and it did nothing to him, add in the narcissistic personality it would mean admitting he failed and I dont see him leaving until 8 years are up or he loses an election or he dies whichever comes first.

Also Nixon was involved in some serious crime hence his resignation, so far we MIGHT have trump threatening to block aid if they dont do something., fairly normal politics.
