She's gonna have to change that if she wants independent votes.

But the damage may be done if she is viewed as a flip flopper.

If she changes her stance it would be highly disengenous.

Her plans are nothing like AOC's loony green new deal. She is talking about a 20-year plan to move away from fossil fuels as much as possible. She believes in peak oil. She also is big on protecting the oceans and coral reefs. Her legislation
seems to me to be sensible. Not radical or extreme.
Gabbart's Working for Sustainable Energy

How is it sensible to go 100% green and shut down an entire industry? It would actually be more sensible to go after thorium nuclear, and work to making fossil fuels not needed. She wants to not only stop the US using it, but stop the export of it as well. That is about 8% of our GDP and almost 6% of total employment.

That means no one can have a car that uses gas. No gas generators. Think of every product we have that uses gas or oil, it's gone.

If she did it this cycle, everyone would call her on it from both sides.

If she did if next cycle, most of the goldfish would forget.

The question is would she gain more votes than she would lose?
