I was a single teen aged Mom who also got back more than I paid.
Every citizen has the right to vote.

If you got back more than you paid you didn't pay anything. Someone else paid.

I would say 'no' because it is an obvious conflict of interest that has brought down every society since forever.
According to this poll it is overwhelmingly 'No'
www.debate.org...
Aside from a war... which I don't really want.... Just allow everyone the right to defend themselves and it will work out hey, we have an amendment for that don't we? An amendment that does not mention types or bans. on XYZ.

I like money.

We could leave it to landowners only and really piss some people off.

Are you kidding me.

I can't work full time away from my home because I'm my mothers only caregiver.
She has dwarfism and needs a caregiver in her home at all times.

I'm lucky that I found part time work from my computer at home.
I ether get a few 100 back each year or I get nothing.

I deserve the right to vote!

This is some very anti-american thinking you have here.

For the record I DO NOT get ANY walfare or government assistance.
Instead I live a very meek life.
No car. No eating out. No movies or clubs or anything like that.
I spend 50$ a month on food. Cooking all my own meals from mostly dry goods like beans and rice and potatoes.
My one luxury is the internet. Which I have to have for my job.
I even buy all my cloths at goodwill.

Sort of like this line from Animal Farm by George Orwell:

"All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others"

The pigs in the book would vehemently agree with the OP...

Every legal citizen should have 1 vote even if that citizen is a taker not a producer. Citizens who have income and pay taxes should have one vote plus the precent of that income paid in tax. So if a working citizen makes $30k and pays $3k tax that citizens vote would count a 1.1 votes. Just a thought.

If you only make $30k a year, you're getting a full refund.

Umm .. duh, I know I won't be popular, but of COURSE people who don't pay NET taxes should not vote.

Giving votes (control) to parasites KILLS the host.

Just saying.

But realistically we already let parasites vote, and the host is already a corpse.

(The host - the US government along with so many others, sooo far in debt, already dead, but still making us pay taxes!)

So you want a system where the son of a killed in action soldier. who is at West Point, doesn't get to vote, lust as his widowed mother, who is at home raising his younger siblings, is disenfranchised. Great country you're building there where if you give your life for your country, your family loses its right to vote.
