Jeremy Corbyn just got cricified in his televised interview.

Neil is a narcissistic bully, who loves the sound of his own voice. Someone i have not tuned into in the last 15 years.

Come back and tell me how Boris fairs. I would bet you would use the same comment. Unless Boris cries off with a migraine of course.

Regardless, Corbyn got spanked on live TV. Was listening to LBC after... he's being roasted.

As i said, come back and tell me how Boris fairs with Neil.

How Boris fairs has nothing to do with the humiliation of Corbyn yesterday.

Indeed it does have something to do with it.

Either Boris or Corbyn will be leading the country from 13th December 2019. The comparison can then be made which is the most incompetent of the two.

Which does not change the fact that Corbyn had an absolute nightmare during his interview.

I'll be amazed if Boris is allowed to be put under such an intense spotlight....Neil would literally rip him a new arsehole.

As they say; sometimes its best to let people think you're a fool rather than open your mouth and confirm it!

Well it looks like Johnson is chickening out of facing Neil. No surprise there then.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has so far failed to agree to give a pre-election interview to the BBC’s Andrew Neil, it has emerged

www.independent.co.uk...

Neil would probably have given Johnson an easy ride anyway. Neil is Chairman of the far right Conservative supporting " Spectator " magazine.

Neil don't like it " Up Him "

I'm not so sure, while I think Neil is wrong on most things he is( to his credit) an equal opportunities prick when it comes to interviewing politicians.

I think he takes his role seriously regardless of his own views.

did you not see the petition to make the north a part of Scotland
Manchester, liverpool , newcastle , people actually started a petition to join Scotland as the northern group

The North

I really do take exception to the fact of people constantly referring to

Manchester as *the north* its not.

Berwick to Manchester is 207 miles

Manchester to London is 208 miles

Which by my reconning is exactly half way making it the midlands?

You said earlier that you will not watch Andrew Neil and have not done so for 15 years.

Your opinion of him therefore seems uninformed at best.

Anyone who has watched him knows that in so far as he loves skewering politicians he shows no favour regardless of who he interviews.

England doesn't end at London. There is a further 70 miles down to Brighton

Manchester half way? Your having a laugh.

And Berwick isn't exactly due north of Manchester either.

An irrelevant post really but.....

The geographical centre of England is contested between Meriden near Coventry and Fenny Drayton in Leicestershire....so Manchester is very much 'North'.
And culturally speaking it is also very much 'Northern' - of course it can be debated if there is such a thing.

For the record apparently there are also two claimants to be the geographical centre of Great Britain; Haltwhistle in Northumberland and somewhere near a place called Dunsop Bridge in Lancashire.

I'm sure if recalling my infrequent schooldays that its relatively easy to determine using a cut out and a chalked plumb line, not an experiment I'm in any rush to conduct.

I was having a smoke outside the pub last night - yes I know, but I am having a night in tonight....I think - and guess who walked passed me? My local MP.
She quite cheerfully smiled and said hello to which I replied in kind.

I let her go about her business free from any impromptu interrogation or ranting from me.
In some ways I regret that now.

She has been an excellent constituency MP and I actually have a certain degree of respect and admiration for her.
My problems with her are her anti-Brexit stance - in contrast to the clear pro-Brexit views of her constituents - and her being a Labour MP under Corbyn's leadership and Momentum control.

In her defence she has always been open about her Remainer beliefs and no-one could ever accuse her of being a Corbynista.

But I just can't bring myself to vote for her for the reasons given above.

Was this a missed opportunity to voice what many friends and associates also feel or was I right to let her go about her business free from any sort confrontation no matter of how respectful it would have been?

or become a complete tory

abandon your human values and only worship profit

I was just thinking *smokes comes out ears

See how Unions need more than 50% of their electorate to vote on any matter before it counts like say for industrial strike action you need more than 50% of the electorate to take part in the vote and the outcome to be more than 50% as well

Why dont we have the same rule on general elections and other votes ?

like did more than 50% of the UK actually vote in the last referendum ?

Corbyn's interview was indeed a 'car crash'.
He seemed unsure and dithering and reliant on pre-prepared political soundbites and generalisations and completely lacking any details.
His lack of knowledge of current tax levels, revenues and who pays what was bordering on the embarrassing

I dont claim to be an economist, but I do know you cant spend more than you

have without borrowing and if you borrow, you accrue interest, with that said

here is an article from an economist on JC's economic illiteracy.

A total ignorance of how the tax system works of the meaning of finincial
reserves and national debt, of government bonds, of pensions, of the impact
that re nationalisation would have - and above all what life on a tight budget
is like for millions of families.

More than his dithering on Brexit, defense and anti Semitism was Corbyns
breathtaking absence of any understanding about money
. Unpolitically and
from an economists standpoint I am staggered by the breath of his ignorance,
I particularly wanted to hear how he intended to pay for the*Waspi*
compensation handout that was announced 'out of the blue' last weekend.

As I had suspected there was no coherent plan to cover the estimated
£58 billion cost of this pledge money to be added to the £83 billion of
other spending commitments
in their manifesto.

He appeared to shrug off the removing of the £250 married couples tax
break as immaterial he doesnt appear to realise that according to the
'Office for National Statics' £250 is more than the cost of four weeks food
shopping for the average family.
Corbyn started blustering about 'government reserves' as though the nation
has untapped billions in a savings account. It doesnt!!! What it has is a
national debt currently standing at £1.750 billion.

Another alarming point is that Corbyn evidently has no idea of how reliant
the country is on high earners to fund income tax, as it happens 5% of
highest earners supply half the entire revenue
