Somewhere up above there was a comment of the pay of Trade Union bosses. Many are fat cats as this 2018 study shows. I wonder what the income inequality persists between the Trade Union boss and the low paid person he* is supposed to be supporting. *It is mostly a "he" in the male dominated world of unions!

Tarde Union boss pay 2017/18 press release with link to the full report

As TUC conference gets underway today, the TaxPayers' Alliance (TPA) releases new research revealing that 31 public sector trade union leaders took home pay packets of at least £100,000 or more in 2017.

Trade unions are important. They only work if they have good relations with management, and vise versa. The combative and destructive ideologically driven unions of the 60s, 70s and 80s served workers poorly, because they helped wipe out industries, thus put their membership out of work. Is it a wonder that membership of unions continues to fall?

I still find it disappointing that unions are part of Labour's structures. It's an unhealthy link, as unions should be supporting members and not politicians.

But without the support of the unions Labour would not have the funding that the Tory party has and then we would have complete inequality.
Was going to say an inneffective Opposition too but........

I dont see why you find this relationship disappointiing. Its a traditional and natural one.

As the Labour Party was created by The Trade Unions, that link will always remain.

Oh, I know the history. I just think it's out-of-date. People want apolitical unions, who work to improve and maintain fair employee representation. The fact that unions are political and fund the Labour party, as well as supporting MPs, is wrong. It's also why (IMHO) union membership is falling.

I know whats tedious, and its a hell of a lot more than political memes.

Anyhoo it seems to have worked for Boris with his bus memes, or not as the case may be.

So if it's good enough for your chosen political Goose, and all that jazz.

A gay rights conference backs a motion in favour of paedophilia. The story is written up by a national newspaper as "Child-lovers win fight for role in Gay Lib".

Incredible how this could have even happened. If i say i am shocked, that would been an understatement.

Totally incredible........ but then they aligned themselves with gay rights

which was getting all the publicity and I suppose they hoped to gain their

rights on the strength of that!! Also at that time news was a lot slower than

now thanks to technology.

I can assure you that women of that time were very sexually naive, the only

sex education they had was lie back and think of England

It must have been very low key because in my busy 'real life' it escaped my

radar. At 80 years old my mother refused to believe that pedophiles existed

till I sat her down and unburdened the baggage I had carried around about

what a family's favourite uncle had done...... she wept.

There are multiple different reports.

Mirror, Metro, Manchester Evening News, even the Daily Fail.

Not sure if they are variations on the one story.

My bet is that its completely true, and just another Mr Smith to add to the Tory forced austerity pot.

Anyway , why would anyone want to be in a union with a constitutional monarchy who's members are apparently actively engaging in child sex trafficking and child abuse at an international level with convicted high profile pedophile?

is this the best the union has to offer hahahah

things aren't really looking good for the royals or the United kingdom

Come on, do you really believe there aren't paedophiles in the SNP or Scotland's elite?

I'm sure there's been many rumours about a long standing active paedophile ring within the Edinburgh elite.

Are you really going to suggest that there would be no paedophilia in an independent Scotland?
I don't think even Nicola Sturgeon or Alex Salmond would ever dare say that.

I'm sorry but it's a very sad fact of life that paedophilia crosses all political, social and even national divides.

Isn't the ex-First Minister Alex Salmond in the firing line for attempted rape and other devient sex charges? Serious charges.

It's all those bastards in Westminster to blame.

It wouldn't happen in an independent Scotland!

Steady. We have to be nice to our Scottish friends - look what happened to our Cornish mate when he took against them?

Interesting to see Jezbollah getting laughed at on ITV debate tonight?

All gits though.

Duke of Pork?
Prize git.

Lets hope he gets thrown under a bus.
