I don't think it is a silly question.

All ma saying and am sure you will agree there is a whole plethora of options between a hard no deal and remaining that would still adhering to the referendum.

The question never actually specified how would would leave or what that would look like.

Cailfornia would be a closer parallel. How badly do you want to keep California in the Union?
(You may think that both are legitimate questons)

Why do you guys wanna keep the UK together? Scotland despises you. And NI...really? What have they got to offer? It would be like making Peurto Rico a state.....not a good deal at all.

Indeed. There are loads of options, but everyone has an opinion. MPs have had three years to sort out an option they can agree on, but have failed. This is made worse by the fact that MPs don't actually want to leave, so will never find a mutually agreeable option.

In the absence of a deal, best to leave. Leave being what the majority voted for.

Pakistan and India will be in a love trist before those lot get back together. They make Jesus proud don't they?

I like Scotland, for about 2 days max though. I couldn't tolerate the 3 hours of sun a month. And I honestly want to punch Nicola Sturgeon in the face whenever she talks(metaphorically of course).

I don't know if we could tolerate you though for that long though....

I honestly don't get why there is as much Scottish bashing as there is on these boards.

I don't hate the British, I don't know that many who hate the British, we just love being Scottish and want to be independent, thats not going to stop be being an Arsenal fan or hanging out with my buddies from down south.

Honestly I feel like some of you have no idea how our system of government works.

I dont think the M.P's know either..... in the 2017 election they all campaigned

to carry out the will of the majority to leave the EU.

....Parliament is the sovereign voice of the people,

Obviously NOT as they have done everything in their power to thwart the will of the people.

its not against the people,

Really?? I dont think those 17.4 million people who voted to leave would agree with that!!!

Boris has something like a majority of -45, he has lost every vote in placement. In essence we have no government right now, someone needs to step in to fix this mess and if that means forming a temporary government of national unity to extend Brexit then call a general election to change the maths of parliament so be it.

Jeremy Corbyn has offered his services ......

Great leader he will make he cant make up his mind on anything and now has a policy

to support *remain* so how can he possibly carry out what the majority voted for

LEAVE*

Its not a coup.

It looks very like one

In 2017 Labour, Lib Dems & SNP campaigned against a no deal brexit.

What sounds more like a coup?

Carrying out your campaign promise from the last election.

Or

Lying to the head of state in order to prevent parliament carrying out its proper constitutional role.

Tell that to the poster condoning the threats.
And only one side seems to be routinely using terms like traitor and surrender.

I seem to recall the other side is using the words Nazi's, Racists, Ignorant

and Stupid.....

And whichever way you care to look at it when you give in, lie down and let

yourself get walked on and waving the white flag.....its surrendering...

I believe our European " friend " Mr Donald Tusk said quite recently, and i quote " I've been wondering what that special place in hell looks like, for those who promoted Brexit without even a sketch of a plan how to carry it out safely"

Nice.

This is exactly the problem we are traditionally a parliamentary democracy who stupidly thought that using direct democracy would fix a problem. Truth is nobody expected Leave to win.

Just goes to show how out of touch with the people they were....living in their

own little bubbles fiddling their expenses

and now we have this absurd problem where via direct democracy we have said leave yet through our traditional parliament democracy the sovereign will of parliament is to remain.

Precisely and now they are shafting the people who put them there to carry out

the campaign promises they made to the people

Remain Lib Dem MP Ed Davy suggested Boris Johnson should be " decapitated "

Remain Labour MP David Lammy stating that to call ERG Group of Conservatives " Nazi's " was not strong enough.

Try checking what the Remain side have said before coming over as " all holier than thou "

I say this because its part of the problem, there are a whole range of options that still respect the public vote that don't mean the most extreme and hardest of no-deal Brexit scenarios.

Where did the option NO deal is better than a bad deal go to?

There are many people interviewed, and on Question Time , on other programmes

and indeed on ATS who would take a no deal.

Thats what this is about, its not about stopping Brexit its about stopping no-deal.

Thats not true ..... Lib/Dems are actively pursuing to remain, As is Jeremy Corbyn

when he can get pinned down to making a decission of any kind.

Meh, I am ambivilous to it all really. I am probably a bit influenced by the missus, and to be fair I quite liked Edinburgh. Although I gotta say McEwans is pretty gross.

I do find the parallels to whats going on in the US to be fascinating though.
I mean, MAYBE, Vietnam was the last great divisive action in the US, and I would say Maggie and the Miners in the UK, so most peeps today don't have first hand knowledge of dealing with such a divisive issue and they are just not mentally prepared for it. Especially with 24hour news and social media beating it into every second of the day.
Or, I could be totally wrong

With the history you have over there for uprisings when the population gets as angry as a lot of you I see posting are I would expect the population to be storming parliment and carrying these traitors out into the streets. Do you think we will see another historical riot out of these actions?

Yes but how many voted for hardcore no-deal

All those who were called stupid and didn't know what they were doing

Many, many more than you think!

when a UK/EU treaty was promised, when they promised a deal, thats what was sold, we were told for years that it would be a easy deal to get and all would be well.

I must have been asleep and missed it when a deal was promised because

I (and I surely am not the only one ) voted leave regardless.

Voting for Brexit was not voting for hard-core no deal it was simply leaving the EU you can do that and still remain in the single market for example.

Most leavers want a business relationship not a welding together, I can't

call it a divorce as was at first peddled ..... a divorce is much easier to get

Well have a general election and that fixes it.

My preference would be to get the extension, hold a general election and take it from there.

Of course you would ......You are a remainer.
