To be honest, I am not sure wheat your point is.

The Union has four parts. The way money flows is just a redistribution of wealth, which is healthy for a Union. If the EU was half as good you would not have such extremes of inequality and would be pushing lorry-loads of cash to other countries outside of the rich north and west.

Some Scots want to break the Union and that's fine, and the nationalists have created a narrative of division, victimhood and popularism. Or was it Mel Gibson who created the "victim" myth when history was rewritten?

Anyway, regardless of the narrative of division, the people of the UK have a shared history and culture.

My point is , if we are a union , then our representatives dont get treated as equals but more like admin assistants to the colony

aye we are all culturally cousins

but our government is #e mate

we just want to have our own one free from westminster rule

you'd think we;d be able to do that , since its been over 300 years

minds have changed , governments changed,

so why not let us rule our own lands , instead we are told NO

the SNP didnt create the division , that was already in place well before the SNP started to push for independence

and you know that even if we do become independent we wont suddenly lose our shared culture and history

Is it any wonder that the tories do not appreciate being constantly harrangued by that tub of lard Blackford whenever he stands up to speak?
Works both ways.

Oliver Cromwell – Dissolution of the Long Parliament 1653 Dissolution of the Long Parliament by Oliver Cromwell given to the House of Commons, 20 April 1653.

Oliver Cromwell’s Speech

It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter’d your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil’d this sacred place, and turn’d the Lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices?

Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress’d, are yourselves gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors. In the name of God, go!” Oliver Cromwell – April 20, 1653

Strictly between you and me ...... so I'll just whisper it to you ( I think

and being that we are all anonymous on this board ) Ian Blackford is

an active member here too.
