FBI releases files on President Trump’s late lawyer, Roy Cohn

The FBI must have some deep state operatives that are desperate to try and keep a negative light on President Trump to pull this file out of their broom closet. These are some seriously old files mind you so the reason for pulling them right now seems pretty hyper-partisan to me at least. What do you all think? Is this rehash of old files a demonstration of deep state hacks in the FBI trying to pull every string they have to try and unravel this presidency?

Bringing Epstein and possible Russian connections into a story about Cohn and Trump tells me this is nothing more than a typical CNBC hit piece on Trump. Bogus.

I suppose after the documentary came out, they were bombarded with FOIA requests.

Well Cohn was one of Trump's mentors, as was Fred Trump...Donald Trump's bailout, time and again, (not that Cohn would be particularly happy with Donald Trump's attitude toward Russia)....Dammit Trump is even going to have the new Air Force One planes painted Red and black...red being the traditional socialist colour...as in the red flag flying.
Everything about Trump's MO reeks of Cohn's way of doing things in corrupt ridden New York.
People really need to read into this stuff much of it online years ago.
Above all of this, nobody should doubt that the US intel services are able to surveil pretty much everything, otherwise they are no use, the latter being much less than plausible.

I didn't vote for Trump but he is the president. if that is who the people choose I will respect their choice and treat him with the respect I would give anyone in that office. We would have to piece together a better man or woman for the leadership role if we want a perfect president. Kind of a Frankenstein's POTUS. They all fall short of the mark as far as being the perfect president in my opinion.

The fact of the matter is that he is doing the job he was hired to do and accomplishing things other presidents of the recent past said they would and did not deliver and he has delivered on those promises to he best of his ability I think. I am more of a libertarian myself but they can not break past 3-5% of the national vote so that dog wont hunt it is clear. I am an anticommunist and antiglobalist by training and by nature so when he thumbs his nose at the globalist I applaud him. If we had another globalist corrupt sell out like the Clinton crime family in the office we would no longer have a sovereign republic form of self ruled nation. President Hillery would sell us to the globalist in a heart beat. The choice is clear at this point if we want to remain a free republic formed in liberty against a tyrant king which is just about where we would find ourselves if the globalist win or we keep whats left of our liberty and try and take more back from the tyrants or we surrender this engine of liberty. I will choose liberty.

Not much negativity on Trump. The 70's housing thing is well-known and thoroughly explained. That's nothing new.

Other than that, I saw nothing negative on Donald Trump. The article uses biased descriptors and if you're not tuned in to that type of journalism, you might be susceptible to the innuendo.

What I do find fascinating is Roy Cohn was one of the prosecutors of the infamous Rosenbergs who were put to death for treason.

That's how they handled traitors back when we were smart.

Cohn hated communists. I wonder if he knew John Brennan in the 70's.

I'm sure the NY Times is feverishly scanning through the 748 pages to find anything remotely connected to DJT and regardless if they do or not it would not surprise me if they contrive another BS 4am headline. I'm so sick of this childish crap.

“You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart? Right? The spies & treason, we used to handle it a little differently than we do now.”
