Maybe you haven't read the transcript?

Of course I did. How else would I know for certain there is nothing there?

I will tell Rudy and Attorney General Barr to call. Thank you.

Yeah, and you left out the part where the Ukrainian President was trhe one who brought up Giuliani.

No, sorry, your whimsical blathering is going nowhere, but have fun with it while you can.

November 8th 2020 is certainly shaping up to be the event of the century, and I can't wait to behold the fireworks that night will bring.

It's funny to me that the Dems are wasting so much money investigating potential criminal actions of a political rival....

.... because they suspect him of having attempted to investigate the potential criminal actions of a political rival...

So what evidence or proof do you have that Trump did anything wrong?

With the "Russian Interference" campaign of 2016, the defense was that Trump was a private citizen and did not directly ask for assistance in the Presidential campaign, but rather Russia engaged on the campaign by their own initiative.

Note: In the President's written testimony to the Special Counsel he argued he was kidding about asking Russia for those 30k emails. No such defense is available here.

With Ukraine, it is the President of the Untied States, under Oath of Office as the highest Public Servant in the land, demanding a foreign country intervene in a US election to help him and open an investigation into a political rival.

The President of the United States has admitted to asking a foreign leader to intervene and assist him in his presidential campaign.

That alone is a profound betrayal of the country, public trust, a breach of his oath of office and constitutional duties.

The extortion using US Military Aid appropriated by congress, the use of the State Department to arrange meetings where Trumps personal attorney could repeatedly make clear the demands that Ukraine help the President in the election, the obstruction and withholding of a whistle-blower complaint from the intelligence oversight committee are also clearly damning, but Trump admitted request that he asked the President of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and Son.

It was a betrayal of the constitution and public trust as the Founding Fathers envisioned it when they specifically articulated Treason and Bribery as causes for Impeachment.

This is the transcript of the call. It's not very long. You'd think a few people would actually read it, rather than rely on editorials given by Hillary.

He mentions Biden in the paragraph that starts at the end of page three, and continues to the beginning of page 4.

"Good because I· heard you had a prosecutor
who· was very·good and he was shut down and that's really unfair.
_·A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your
ery good prosecutor down and you had some ery bad people

" The oter thing,
There's a lot 6f. talk about Biden's son,. that Eiden stopped the
prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so
whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.
Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if
you ·can look into it ... It sounds horrible to me."

Thing is, he probably had a genuinely appropriate reason to want to look into it. Ukraine is a very important ally for the USA, from an intelligence perspective. Besides all the criminal stuff that goes through their country, they can get us information on most of Eastern Europe. (And it's not terribly uncommon to meet people who can speak both Ukrainian and Arabic.)

Previously Turkey was basically where America went for that stuff, and for access to the Middle East, but unfortunately Turkey is enemies with the Kurds. (And curds are way better allies than Turkey ever was.)

If the USA makes a strong ally of Ukraine, and distances itself from Turkey, that's will bring us much closer to winning the war on terror.

If any Americans are "interfering in the political process of Ukraine" (such as obstructing justice, or getting a prosecutor dismissed), it's a matter that should be looked into.

This place has certainly turned into a Trump echo chamber. Been here for ten years and I've seen this site turn into a brietbart affiliate have many of the same topics too. A sad sight indeed.

I see why you're confused. See, it's more of a "common sense chamber". Always has been.

I don't know why people have such a fixation on dandelions...

They're pretty. So yellow, and against the green of the lawn. It's pretty!!

...and this is a much more important conversation to have, then another somewhat blatant attempt to gin up new "evidence" of wrongdoing on the part of the President...all while ignoring, into oblivion more than likely, the very real wrong doing of a past sitting VP who, just incidentally, happens to be running for the office of President.

Doesn't that make anyone wonder??

Then, as is all too often the case with complaints of this sort...

You've a very selective reading habit. In this very thread, there are decidedly anti-Trump sentiments. Take a look around the'll find threads devoted to very anti-Trump sentiments.

I understand your disappointment, but this thread came out before any other Pelosi destroyed the party before any others on Breitbart after her announcement. And unlike The Drudge Report, ATS doesn’t have any threads on the Judy Garland movie trending right now.

I am so tired of this. All of us here that are normal know that Obama broke the law over and over and over again, blatantly and the media made it next to impossible to investigate. Now the media is literally calling the president a liar during his live speech when he isn't even lying. What the # is going on, if they impeach over this we need to get violent. Can we really just lay down and take that if it comes to that?

If you're referring to that circus we are subjected to everyday as common sense then its nothing more I can say to you here. Trump is incredibly incompetent and scandal after scandal excuse after excuse then deflections. One day you guys are gonna run out of excuses and there will be no one to deflect to.

We're living in crazy time.

Adam Schifty read out in Congress a completely made up version of the call transcript - his own projection on what he imagined it all meant. It was quite uncomfortable listening him spill out his crazy thoughts. It was like watching the final stages of TDS when the mind is totally gone. He's just one step away from dribbling and falling into a coma.

We're in La La land.

So uh send in a resume.

Y'know, I don't really care how many of what sort of threads are on ATS. So, you go right ahead and break it down for us.\

Start a thread about it even.

Anti-Trump. Pro-Trump. Don't really care-Trump. So long as it drives traffic, we're good.

...and why would I send a resume? I don't like the man. I think he's something of a goober. From the sounds of it, you should send an inquiry into the DNC...maybe they're hiring??

Lol! No, wouldn't help, since the people who will be melting down don't own guns... although they might want to take them away from their bodyguards, or their bodyguards might want to use them to put an end to the wailing and gnashing of teeth...

I think the inquiry, the outrage, the shortsightedness and yes the stupidity can be cleared up by understanding one small bit of nuance to the narrative.

Trump did not ask Ukraine to investigate the Biden’s.
Trump asked Ukraine to resume their investigation.

There is a world of difference between asking someone to do something and asking them to go back to what they were doing before they were interfered with.

Ya know, I don't think there are many around that really LIKE the guy, but the truth is that he's no different than any of the other lame ducks running this country, with one glaring exception. He gets things done, with or without the help of others around him. Personally, I think he's a narcissistic jackass that is so full of himself that he can't help but get a little of it on anyone or anything he touches! That fact however makes him a PERFECT fit for the office in which he resides.

He's exactly what this country needed at the time he got elected. And that's what pisses off the Left, purely because he's wrecking their long-term plans to dumb down society to a point where they have to completely rely on the State to take care of them. Socialism in action.

Next November is gonna be a great time to be alive! I cannot wait to see what happens!!

TheBorg :-)
