I was a geology and earth science major and this is the opposite of what I was taught. The earth is supposedly 5.6 billion years old with humans around for maybe 10 percent of that.

Humans have been around for 560,000,000 years?

I don't know the exact numbers, but i remember my professor stretch his arms to the side and said if this was the time line of earth,
Humans would have been around what would Make up the tip of his finger.

And during that long time, earth went through ice ages, hot ages.
And without human interaction, humans can damage and help things stay clean.

But everything is fair game if a asteroid hits, if the earth's moves too close or too far from sun. continental drift and collision. Volcano eruptions that can pollute the sky and black out the sun.

People need to understand that before humans. Natural lighting strikes wood set entire Forrests on fire, no fire fighters to put them out.

Fires that would burns for months and even years,.producing more co2 then humans can ever.

Even today there are natural fires around the world that have been burning And letting off co2 for over 50 years.

Got to keep the libs busy on impossible tasks , they should try and put those fires out with buckets.

Just keep them busy and make them believe they are helping. They are not so bright

Sure, no one is arguing that these things don't occur naturally. I still think it's foolish to say mans footprint, doesn't also have an effect, not just CO2, but other toxic gases, metals..etc.

Of course. Let's not be slobs, but let's not push emergency climate propaganda.
And then u.s. seems like a leader in pollution and garbage control.
Not the best, but talks about making America more green, when it seems 80% of the world are 100 years behind when it comes to recycling?

Shouldn't these libs be helping other countries not attacking the u.s. which has a good system
Of course but that would ruin the narrative. Which is that the US is inordinately wealthy and affluent and we must pay the price. It’s really about wealth redistribution and control. They can’t have US people eating meat while the rest of the world is starving on rice and beans.
This is all in UN Agenda 21 and on the statements of the proponents. Why do you think aoc and Booker are pushing no red meat? You don’t think it’s really about methane gas do you ?

No - I don't forgive so easily

You are the one who put up the cartoon about a better world....and it is not. We have all be bankrupted chasing alternative technologies down the rabbit whole

The work and saving of two generations have been wasted and the next generations will have to pay for it.

Global warming was a fraud to foist a one world solcialist government on us and nothing more. It will fade away like Y2K

I'm not sure if this is parody or a cry for help.

Do you know how much money was spent preventing Y2K?

Actually glad you asked that question. Since it proves the point.

Billions of dollars were spent on Y2K.

For nothing, it was unnecessary.

I was a Network Tech at the time, nothing failed because of Y2K. Outdated BIOS dates could just revert to 1900 for 00.

Changes could have been made gradually as Tech was rolled out new..

Perfect example of pouring Billions into something that never happened...

So punish people for being successful?
Some cultures are just smarter and harder worker's then others.

Many want the American dream ,but are they willing to work long hours and pay a heavy tax?

Many cannot.

Today mediocrity is almost celebrated, back in the day they would have been civilized in some harsh ways.

Strange world we live on

Finally I found the hyperbole channel!

Whether you believe in climate change or not, believe in protecting the planet that houses us, look after it so the ignoramu's children don't die in living hell.

That's the problem, people not caring because they'll be dead before they see the outcome, I know I will but I still try to make sure the future of mankind doesn't have the chances of 'slim'.

I think most people agree with you about protecting the planet. Who intentionally seeks to pollute the air, land, water, or anything for that matter? I believe most people do care (San Francisco and LA excepted.) But, seriously, there are always going to be individuals that are disgustingly filthy and unconcerned. Some cultures in some countries need to be educated about crapping and urinating in the water they wash clothes in and drink from.

In the US and other civilized countries, there are Environmental agencies, conservation groups, local environmental policies, recycling facilities, water analysis and filtration systems, etc. etc. etc.

Some counties in some states have special taxes for the issues within their county.

The US is one of the least polluting countries in the world. It is a balancing act to keep our environment clean and safe and at the same time economically healthy. We may not be perfect yet, but we do a damn good job. Other countries do, as well.

The stats are encouraging. But climate changes. Regardless of what we do, the climate on Earth will change.

Young people haven't lived long enough to understand that decades ago there were even worse storms, worse fires, worse heat waves, worse winters at times than there are now. They hyperventilate over a Cat5 storm, but storms like that have always been.

I think what most thinking people are vehemently opposed to are groups, especially hypocritical groups, that decide for all of us that citizens will be taxed, the monies GIVEN to some Big WW Gov't-Run Accord or UN Plot that will then freely distribute the funds how they see fit.

We know "they" can't even decently account for how most foreign aid is distributed. The one thing we DO know is that the upper echelon politicians and so-called leaders suddenly become extremely wealthy personally while their "programs" suck up $$$ for administration costs and salaries and, what is left might go the the original effort.

Children need a cause, a community of believers, a "religion", if you will. The new Church of Climatology has taken the place of traditional endeavors to be involved.

But, what we are now observing is "religion" gone fanatical....just like extremist end-times preachers scared the bejeebus out of kids, the Climate Change money-grabbers are doing all they can to get you to drop money into the plate for them.
