The meaning is rather plain.

There is no Planet B.

It's not written Linear B nether.

If there is no planet B, and the situation is so dire...why is the sign holder wearing synthetic clothes?

You get one guess where those nylons ultimately came from.

Just another case of, "you need to sacrifice, so that I don't have to."
That “Planet B” thing was in the article “The Manufacturing of Greta Thunberg”. I wonder if that’s where he read it also. It was a quote from one of those non-profits the article is about.

And the children shall lead them... off a cliff. They parade these kids in front of the cameras to tug on the heart strings. But really look at who they pick and you're left wondering. Don't they seem... fake? Take David Hogg, the Parkland" survivor". he wasn't there and ran home to get his camera. His dad , a former FBI agents escorted him to the crime scene. Then he apes for the cameras and markets himself as the voice of his generation. All the while coming across as angry and nearly sociopathic. Oh, and even with only above average grades he gets entrance into Harvard to continue his activism and to get a good resume. Now this girl. She lives a care free privileged life in a part of the world with little problems. But she's appalled now at how we're destroying her world. Excuse me while I wretch. And she comes across as phony as Hogg. These kids are actors, manipulated and controlled and self serving. Brainwashing a new generation on a hard sell on global warming and gun control. We need to stop thinking for ourselves and do what the thinkers tell us. A Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, Animal Farm, 1984, The Hunger Games. Agenda 21. The Green New Deal. Be afraid and don't be afraid to question and to think.

In those pictures they seem to have expressions of what might be called grim determination. In the 60s there were a lot of kids who had that same look.

I was one of them. The government was an idiot then, too.

Good on you Phage for sticking up for those young persons in the pics. In the 60's I was happy. I'm over 60 now and I'm still happy. Life is what you make it I guess. I don't worry about the government. I get on with my life. Doesn't mean I don't stand up when things get bent out of shape and have my say. I guess smiling in the face of adversity (or absurdity) doesn't lend itself to messing up your brain.

I've had to lick my wounds many times after standing toe to toe with the worst or being caught up in some hectic incidents. Smiling at the time can give you grief but chuckling afterwards regardless of the circumstances.

In saying that, my point is. Why sneer in the first place. Why lose control of your senses. Anyways, whether that means anything to you I don't mind.
But, good on you again for recognizing 'grim determination' in youth and supporting their feelings. They do need that.

Kind regards,

bally.

But he is 18 years old ........ two years can make quite a difference

in the UK 18 yrs is when they come of age so they can do anything

they like without parental permission.

When my children were pushing boundries I used to tell them, wait

till you're 18 and you can do anything you like ...... and pay rent!!

It is known that in the autistic spectrum that they don't naturally 'do' or are

able to read facial expressions.

I have no interest in listening to a 16 year old about anything, much less something along these lines. Any child with an agenda immediately has me looking for who is pulling the strings behind the scenes.

As for climate change, I've said before, my wife and I are childless, if the planet is a ruin after we die, oh well.

Wow...you must be the biggest ass on here, which is saying something.

You said she is "supposedly" from Sweden? You seriously think she might not be? Because obviously that is the kind of important detail to help push an agenda..??? Good grief..

You have the MAJORITY of scientists in the world saying that climate change is real and we need to do something about it, but most people on here (American I think) see that as hidden governments pushing an agenda to take away your money and rights. Has someone got evidence that the majority of the scientific community is on the payroll of governments to push their agenda? Which is very different to being a government agency doing research by the way. Has ANYONE got ANY evidence that shows ANY government is dictating what the scientific community must say? As far as I can see, all the people denying climate change or saying it's being pushed by hidden groups, has ZERO evidence. On top of that, you have people saying "if it takes away my money or my rights then I'm against it" which is hilarious. How much will that help you if your state is underwater or battered by hurricanes? What happens to the cost of insurance? Or what happens when food costs a fortune because you have to import more? Or what about other countries where they are being battered by the weather and their population is poorer and less able to combat the damage? Doesn't that matter to you?

Even IF we are not solely responsible for climate change, shouldn't we still try and mitigate its effects as much as possible?? How about we try that? Because doing nothing is unlikely to work out very well for us or our fellow man.

Or is it a case of "me, me, me...I might lose something if climate change is tackled...wah wah wah"? That is found throughout this thread.

This is the classic place where opinion and fact are given the same weight.

FACT: most scientist believe climate change to be real and needs to be tackled.
FACT: No-one has any proof that most of the worlds scientists are on the payroll to hidden agencies.
Opinion. It's all a conspiracy.

If you think it's fake, categorically prove it. If this were a discussion about flat earth you wouldn't be asking the people who think it's round to prove it, you'd be asking the flat earthers to prove their theory. So deniers, categorically prove it with evidence from reputable sources and stop spouting your opinion as though it were fact.

First of all, there is not a genuine consensus ... it is well known that many scientists have a dissenting opinion and that even some of them didnt like having their work misrepresented by the UN IPCC. Consensus is manufactured. It’s called the Delphi Technique. Please read Rosa Koire’s book, “Behind the Green Mask”. Second: theres a ton of money and organizations backing Greta, and some of that research has already been posted here. So I’ll post it again

There... that’s a good start for you. Third: you might want to brush up on Agenda 21/2030. The elite Club of Rome is behind it and is mentioned even in the article I posted for you. Although the article is written from a leftist point of view and I don’t like the anti capitalist rhetoric, the author has done their due diligence in finding who is behind Greta. Also Greta has a handler who is a climate activist. A number of orgs are mentioned, such as the Sunrise movement and WWF of which Getas mom is part.
